​@@lilianekomyVermithor is 94. He is the third oldest dragon after Vhagar(180) and Dreamfyre(Helaena's dragon 100yo). Fun fact: despite being younger than Dreamfyre, Vermithor is bigger because he stayed free at Dragonstone while Dreamfyre reminded at the kingslanding dragonpit.

The dog was also a rat catcher... They took him to cover up their actions and to show them where "the rats" were.

It is soo much worse in the book. There Cheese makes Heleana choose between her two sons, she picks the younger son, Cheese says:" look, your mommy wants you dead" to the younger son and of course they then kill the older son...

@@alexevans4637 god i hate this. The writers and directors should learn how to convey information without the actors clarifying stuff. Why on earth would they not tell us Aegon has no idea his bastards are in a fighting pit. They made it seem like he knew and didnt care. If it was information they wanted us to know, they should've shown us in the show itself, and if they didnt want us to know it then tell the actors to hush up.

​@@rexibhazoboa7097Agreed, some people even think that all the children shown there are Aegon's. That scene was poorly explained and wasn't even in the book. And with the way Aegon is portrayed in season 2, it seems the writers regreted creating the children fighting pit. It was clearly a waste🤦

jaeherys and jaehera are meant to be identical twins so him having to get up close to tell them apart isn’t a huge deal , plus he couldn’t even see the front of her face and he could still tell it was the girl

Fraternal twins. There's no identical opposite-sex twins. Identical twins are from one embryo split into two, that's why they look so alike and ALWAYS the same sex. Fraternal twins are from two embryos, basically they're two separate people, any likeness is just the typical likeness any siblings would have. They are often of opposite sex but can be also of the same sex, but they don't look exactly the same just as identical twins would.

She was as unworth and incompetent as you can be. She was a bitter woman going more and more insane until she finnaly bit the dust. Rhaenyra's only argument is "I am the heir because my father said it was me" Condal's own words lmao, then he goes on to say that the lords are just bounded by their oath or their fathers oath but they know that Aegon has more claim.

Obviously because she has a connection with Helaena as character. Jaeharys got 15 seconds of screen time in the whole show lol

The dog is part of the rat catching job. You see both twice earlier in the episode, once before Alicent and Cole get into the Council meeting then they both walk across the back hall as Aegon hears about the blockade. The rat catcher and his dog are a trusted sight no one questions, that's why he takes the dog with him.

Emma D'Arcy gave a powerful performance this episode. Rhaenyra only says 4 words and she stole the episode. The scene with Rhaenyra and Jace was heartbreaking. I'm still on Rhaenyra's side in this battle. Enjoyed your reaction.

Why can't people just watch a show or read a book without choosing sides? I feel that when fans choose sides, then they won't be able to fully enjoy or understand the story. It feels the same way with season 4 of Attack on Titan. Does anyone else feel this way?

Because it's set up to choose sides. Right to the fact that Max released a Black and a Green trailer for season 2 which have text prompts "You must choose". Of course, people are going to choose. SPOILER: Personally, the character I've come to appreciate the most of the whole Dance (per books) ended up serving both "teams" and was the wisest man of them all. It was Corlys Velarion.

something interesting at the start of the episode loads of people seem to just nod along when Daemon is talking about extinguishing Aegon's line; and then they see what that would actually mean by the end of the episode...and are not fans of it

They fail to tie it back to Daemon though (most reactors). If it was the other way around, it would be despicable, even after Daemon sawed of the head of the child, its "omg, Daemon would be so pissed at his assassins, how'd you mess up this badly" I love this character but how I hate the audience sometimes.

Do not forget that Aemond do not attack Luce without reason he bulled him and laughed at him

Literally episode starts by showing us the Raven flying through the noth bearing the message of Luke's death - talk about starting S2 with the exact plot continuance from the epic ending of S1... I expect great things from S2 - Team Black!!

Small dogs have been trained to catch rats. There's actually a breed called Rat Terrier for that reason.

Small and medium-small dogs have been used for rat control for centuries. Most of your terriers and such were specifically bred as ratting dogs. The rat catcher would have his ratting dog with him if he were on the job.

Aegon actually placed 2 dragon eggs under Jaehaerys and Jaehaera cradles 💔 Jaehaerys was only 4 when he was murdered Daemon did order his death, he disobeyed rhaenyra. when cheese asked "what if we can't find him" Daemon smirked, that's when he said "a son for a son", jaehaerys as aegon's heir was the plan B.

12:15 I've seen a few people comment that this looked fake or was bad cgi, but I thought the opposite, it looks completely real life to me. With the ease of someone who has done that jump hundreds of times.

Craggen isn’t in the Nights Watch. He and Jace accompanied the new recruits to the wall. Otherwise he wouldn’t be allowed to remain a Lord of Winterfell and promise men to the Blacks.

The dog was there so they could pose as rat catchers; rat catchers used dogs to help catch rats

I have been busy with work, so I didn't even know the show was back, another reactor's reaction showed up on my feed a day ago, and I've been stalking my favorite reactors ever since, and at last, I found yours! 10:55-11:02 "He really just does what he likes" about Aemond. Well, he claims the king summoned him, and the king did not deny this. Whilst we did not see Aegon summon Aemond, it's presumptive to say Aemond was neither summoned nor invited by the king, either of which would give him reason to be present. 12:45-13:00 I believe Syrax is the mother of the Dragon Luceryn was riding, which would mean Mother to the deceased dragon, and mother of the deceased prince, found the recovered remains of their respective children on that beach. [apologies, but I do not recall the dragon's name] [additionally, I'm not sure I've seen you tear up and cry so readily Larissa. That hit me hard] 13:18-13:20 basically every reaction I have seen so far has jumped to the taken by... yeah I am definitely on Aemond's side with that. In that world, you pluck someones eye out, getting killed is probably the most likely outcome. Smirking about the pig in Aemond's face at the dinner adds insult to injury. I have no issue with him getting killed by Aemond. I would prefer he didnt die, but I wont blame Aemond for what he did.

if you're a big fan of the Stark's, esp Ned Stark, here's a cute little easter egg for you. look up the video "Sharp likes to swear". when you've gone further with The last kingdom you'll appreciate this more. Sharp Series was a tv adaptation of Bernard Corwell's book series (the guy who wrote Saxon Chronicles with TLK is based off).

Aegon had no choice to accept throne he did it to protect his kids and sibling and also because subject give him love e never had from his parents but still he was forced on it so he does the best he can even tho he was not trained to do so

idk why but luke’s death (EVEN THO I KNEW IT WAS COMING) hit me harder than maybe any other tv death- i’ve seen the first season many times but i still only have to take a moment to think abt luke’s death to start bawling again. cried probably 3/5 of this episode lmaooo it was very cathartic.

TEAM AEMOND!!!! Best character ever

I'm team Green mainly bc Daemon is a part of Team Black and he has to literally be the most evil man in all the seven kingdoms. Man has done so much wrong you lose count. And now having those goons kill an innocent child without Rhaenyra knowing about it and cut his head off. Yea pretty evil stuff right there. It will be a good day when he finally gets his.

It kinda bugs me that the actress playing Alycent is barely older than the trhee actors playing her children.

Sad how toxic this fandom has became since season 1.. Great reaction ! But jeez, its unbearable to read every comment section i come across for this show.

Ser Criston and Prince Aemond are my favorite characters, they will make a good team, you ll see.

George R.R Martin would beg to differ as do I. “I'm notorious for my love of gray characters,” Martin responded, “and one of the grayest characters in the entire story of Westeros is Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince.” Murderous and magnetic, Daemon loves to party, though you rarely see him belly laugh. George has also openenly stated his favorite Targaryen character from is Daemon because of his morally grey character.

I mean I will no fight it coz is his book but personally is stupid to think like him in those aspects, Daemon is evil if he were grey then he would worry for others and help them giving them food, philanthropic an shits like that and if its war then kill them coz some trauma or anything of the king that prophelled him to do evil shit against them etc. The definition of a grey character is a character who feels incredibly human - often, someone who tries to do right, fails and falls into bad tendencies. The only thing you see in him is being good with his family and not even that coz he just finished off his baby nephew without regrets and killed his wife, and the rest have it worse that shit is not grey, otherwise all the criminals would be grey coz all of them love their family or at least one person and do shits to the rest without compassion.

The final Blood and Cheese scene did NOT hit. Especially when you compare the events to the more psychologically horrific version in the book. I'm glad you got something out of it, but honestly, I think the producers really botched that ending...

I think the more I watch it, the more subtle details pop up during this episode and previous ones plus knowing how dreams affect the dreamer it’s a more complex scene. And of course the book is biased and they’re gonna say it was a lot more brutal and that Alicent was there and she was a doting grandma and definitely not getting her cheeks clapped. Lol

Exactly! Mindless just like most the blacks supporters! the fandom was still overwhelmingly Team Black but people had canonical reasons for it. But the levels of toxicity were nowhere near to what they are now. After the show aired, majority of the bitter Dany stans from GoT simply hopped onto the Team Black bandwagon and have tinged the support base with all sorts of WTF stanning. Thank the writers for this 'Danyfication' of Rhaenyra whereas there is not an ounce of similarity between the two if we go by cannon. Frequent harassment or belittling of actors playing the Greens is a key feature. As if they should grateful that the honorable Team Black stans have "allowed" you to be a Targaryen. Plus, inserting modern sensibilities as per one's own convenience is super hypocritical on so many levels. Patriarchy is bad per modern standards, but incest is so progressive SMH. When people just understand this basic fact - its one white-haired imperialist vs another, one entitled royal vs another, one Targaryen vs another, everything will calm down.

Well, they ruined Blood&Cheese all right, could have been one of TV history's most haunting moments, another Red Wedding, but instead the show's version was a complete let down, rushed and underwhelming to say the least. If only they adapted the book's version which was perfection!!!! In the book Daemon gave the order to murder Aegon's heir not Aemond, a son for a son he said. It wasn't a mission gone wrong, typical Daemon didn't give a rat's ass about the babies, in the book Viserys adored his grandchildren and used to tell them stories of ancient Valyria. Blood and Cheese sneaked into Alicent's room through the secret passageways Rhaenyra used to get out of the Red Keep in the first season, they gagged Alicent and waited. When Helaena arrived with her three babies, Blood killed her guard before proceeding to grab her eldest son, Prince Jaehaerys, while Cheese took hold of her younger son, Prince Maelor. Then she was asked on which of her sons she wanted them to kill, the queen pleaded with them to kill her instead, which was turned down and Blood reminded her that it has to be a son, warned Helaena that she and her children would die if she screamed. They threatened they would rape her baby daughter if she didn't make a choice soon. When she was once again forced to make the impossible choice under the threat that all of her children will be killed, the queen tearfully chose Maelor, the youngest son, she believed that Maelor was too young to understand. Seeing that she had chosen Maelor, Cheese whispered into the boy's ear, mockingly saying, "You hear that, little boy? Your momma wants you dead." Instead they decapitaded Jaehearys to Helaena's horror, and she began to scream. This is by far the superior Blood&Cheese version. In the show the guards had vanished, made no sense, kicking the dog was more impactful and Alicent humping Cole at the end took away from Haelena's tragedy, people were laughing. Idk, and it's not like the book readers anticipated to witness the beheading of a baby, it's just that GRRMs version of a mother's impossible choice would have made for great drama, a lost opportunity indeed I might add.

Helpful tip: stop annoying viewers with this whole TB vs TG shit. Nobody truly cares except the social media obsessed crowd.
