Not justifying anything here, just talking about what it means for the bigger picture of this war and the dynamics between these characters. Also keep in mind we're still talking about a fictional show with fictional characters here. I said multiple times I don't agree on the murder of a child, so I don't see how people are still taking that out of context.

Never said I didn't understand Aegon's reaction. His personal reaction is pretty logical, but if you look at the 'team black vs team green' dynamics it's hypocritical af. Especially because they never seemed to mention Luke even once, apart from the one prayer from Alicent, so they didn't seem to care at all. In the meantime Rhaenyra almost has a mental breakdown when she hears about what Daemon did, realizing what has been done to Helaena and the child. Also please keep in mind Aegon literally pays money to see his bastard children fight in a pit, so yea he really gets father of the year.

So happy Aegon destroyed Viserys' lego set. "His life work" was more important than his children. More important than Helaena's dreams, Aemond's trainings in politics and sht, Aegon's relationship with his sister. Let's not talk about Daeron... His children should've been prepared political for their future, but what was he doing? Doing lego and being a senile geezer.

Great reaction as usual. As I have tried explaining to others in the past, Danny was the threat from the North that was prophesied to eventually conquer the world and bring on an age of darkness. (Remember, her army came from the north to seige Kings Landing.) The Night King was a fake out. With her remaining dragon, the Unsullied and the 7 Kingdoms at her back, she would have succeeded as a mad queen, making everyone's life terrible. Jon Snow was Azora Ahai in that he killed his lover in order to defeat the darkness. (Does anyone ever believe that Nissa Nissa and Misa are similar merely as a coincidence?)

You could say "The greens usurped the throne and murdered lucaerys" but someone else would say "they sent peace terms and rhaenyra did not accept them but instead she sent her sons to rally support for war and that caused lucaerys death" it will be endless argument. No one usurped anything, both Rhaenyra and Aegon have right claims because they're the king's legitimate heirs.

@@jamien368 I think you should watch again. Rhaenyra was considering to accept the terms until Aemond killed her son. You wanted her to just let it go and do nothing after that? And of course she was preparing for war and going after allies. The war could start at any moment. Even otto bringing terms she couldnt trust that nothing was going to happen.The other side could attack at any moment and she had to be prepared.And the greens did usurped the throne. Rhaenyra was the heir and the thorne was hers. Im sure if she was in drangonstone when viserys died she wouldnt have to take power in the middle of the night like a criminal because she was the heir. Aemond himself confirmed that they usurped the throne in the first ep.

Aegon like "I declare war" but techincally the war started already the moment the greens usurped the throne and accidentally killed Lucerys. I am team black and I have to say that I like that Otto Hightower stood up against Aegon. The fight scene was so sad feel bad for both of them they both are good person and very loyal to what they believe in and the way Erryk saved Queen Rhaenyra multiple times in that fight so loyal to his Queen.

You quickly forget that Lucerys' death was an accident, no one wanted it lol. Planning the beheading of a young child and acting on it is way worse IMO

Like I said a few times, I obviously don't agree on it, I'm just trying to paint the bigger picture here on what it means for this war. I literally never said killing a 5 year old is good, I actually don't think I made any comment at all on the child personally. Like I said, just painting the bigger picture here and talking about what it means for the dynamics. I gree with most you said but Aegon has a stronger claim. Ryan Condal himself said in his last podcast that Aegon has more claim by Jahaerys council, westeros laws and andal traditions. Rhaenyra's only argument is "I am the heir because my father said it was me" Condal's own words lmao, then he goes on to say that the lords are just bounded by their oath or their fathers oath but they know that Aegon has more claim.

Can I just point out that the book isn’t historically accurate as it’s written as points of view. It’s very easy for then to write that rhaenyra ordered the deaths. Just like how in the book Alicent was there during blood and cheese and not sleeping with the lord commander. Many people have said the book is to be taken with a pinch of salt

Personally, I enjoy how two sided the Team Black vs Team Green divide has become. Last season it was quite an uneven split in Team Blacks favour. Now we have a more even split and I feel that makes for a richer watching experience.

I disagree. I made a comment on another video about how until a few days ago, in the shows timeline, Aegon was an unrepentant rapist and delighted in watching children tear each other to death in the fighting pits. I woke up the next morning to discover 97 unbelievably angry replies because I’d dared to criticise their darling boy. I’ve also looked at other videos and the comment sections are filled with Team Green comments.

Which is the only explanation I can come up with for why people completely missed the point about that "lovely" blonde pyromaniiac coming from the East intending to conquer everything (which, by the way, is EXACTLY what Sauron in LotR is doing, so actually not THAT different in that (!) sense, like GRRM is actually hiding his intentions with the character in plain sight there! 😆) ending up just as big of a threat as the NK (I'll be happy to explain (again), especially since I'd "miraculously" seen that coming from five miles away YEARS before the finale aired "somehow"...)

I kinda feel for both sides now even tho I am with the true heir on this one 🖤🐉❤️ Daemon shoudln't do anything without talking to Rhaenyra and Otto used that in their advantage and Aegon blewed it away with killing innocent men and putting them on the wall to see 😂 I am full onboard with son for a son but that little child was always an overstep Aemond should've been kidnapped or something Daemon is sometimes just doing what he wants and that is the problem I loved Otto's and Aegon's conversation same as Rhaenyra's and Daemon's Haelena is the most innocent and this was an overstep, but Alicent and Cole are just hypocrits 😂 especially what they did to Cole's character like wth, no personality It feels like something is wrong in the script 😂 Either way great episode, but this only leads to suffering and mistakes from both sides

The scene with Rhaenyra and Daemon and the one with Otto and Aegon, omg. I can only quote Oprah: "YOU GET AN EMMY! YOU GET AN EMMY! YOU GET AN EMMY! YOU GET AN EMMY!"

Lucerys was a 14 year old dragon rider on a dragon and Jaehaerys was 5 year old boy in his bed. It not the same. You and all tb just trying to justify this murder. Rhaynera guilty as much as Daemon and she will pay for it

Dany’s dragons didn’t fly across the wall, they flew from dragon stone and approached from east watch which is the eastern most point of the wall, they around the wall . The wall has prevents magical creatures (dragons, white walkers etc) from crossing .

thats just a theory im sure. Plus, Vermithor and Silverwing weren't commanded to cross it. The show states that the king and queen stood on the wall and noticed their dragons didn't cross over. So its not like the dragons deliberately disobeyed commands. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I absolutely love Matt Smith as Daemon, but it really pissed me off the way he talked about Viserys, having the gall to call his brother a “coward”. Also didn’t like how he made like he was gonna attack Rhaenrya again. So interesting to see Aemond be introspective with his girlfriend/lover. Shows his vulnerability and a ability to feel regret. You know you’re a hated character when most people are saying Larys Strong would have been a better choice for Hand; Cole is such a wanker.

I'm sorry but Daemon made some valid points Viserys made some stupid decisions which divided the realm and divided his family and its True that he only named Rhaenyra heir to put Daemon in his place because he was mad at him but also to honor Aema also yes he was a good person but a good person doesn't make somebody a good king if he really Rhaenyra to be his heir he should have not remarried and have kids with another woman.

I can’t help but think that Otto was right about Daemon (just as Daemon was right about Otto), in that Daemon has all the makings of a would-be tyrant if he ever had the throne.

Viserys was a coward. C'mon, he is one of the major reason's this whole conflict is happening. If he had the corage to make the right choices, to marry the right people, to raise his voice and settle the conflicts inside his family instead of letting his wife have the last word, none of this would have happened.

@@rafaelhenrique4139 lot of the problems in his family were derived from Daemon himself, and his ambitions and violent nature. Viserys made many mistakes, but to think him choosing patience and kindness over ruthlessness/violence made him a “coward” is a complete mistake. I also believe the Targaryen’s were destined to fall apart. The House of the Dragon shows that their reliance on the Dragons was ultimately a mistake.

@@dukedude7460 Viserys wasnt patient. He was indecisive most of the time. Viserys wasn't kind. He ignored his children excluding Rheanyra. Viserys was a coward. He was too afraid to disinherit Rheanyra, he was too afraid to stop Rheanyra from having bastards, he was too afraid and weak to strengthen Rheanyra's claim, the claim that was only held up by his words. Every empire falls, if Viserys was a decent king, House Targaryan wouldn't have fell right after Viserys reign. They could've gone another 50 to 100 years in their prime.

In Daemon's defense he's still grieving about the death of his brother plus he thinks he was killed and still grieving about the death of his child and stepson Daemon may talk shit about his brother but you can tell he still loved him very much which is why he's still refers the throne as his brother's throne i think he still can't cope with fact that he died also that he didn't trust him Daemon clearly just wanted some revenge so he didn't care who died but i still think its gonna hunt him that a child died instead.
