The pen spent the opening road trip imagining that they were good, but reality set in hard after that. Of course, the fielding giving up 628 unearned runs so far isn't exactly helping.

It looks like a fastball that would run back to the plate and instead it cuts in the dead zone of the swing.

A Maddux would be 78 pitches not 94. Just saying... That's not even close, now if it was 82 pitches, now that could be a Maddux.

A Maddux (according to wikipedia) is a shutout game in under 100 pitches, so Houck qualifies. Extra fun fact is that Roy Halladay is the only person to throw an extra-inning Maddux (99 pitches in 10 innings)!

Houck is ephesus slow no? Too soon to call him the best.
