Thanks for this video. Just replaced my heating element as I was getting all the flashing lights and no heat and this worked a treat. Thank you!

Many thanks, you've just confirmed what I thought was wrong with my machine. Now just got to get the bits and get it working again.

One more idea, if this wouldn’t work, change the drum’s sensor.

@@georgesworkshop8600 There's no heat from it at all. I took the heater element out and ran the machine with it dangling free, but safe from touching anything. Stone cold.

I have only one idea let’s check the pump. If it doesn’t pump the water could stop the program.

Hi Hassan, Did you try to replace the Thermistor? Many times the heating element is good, but with a thermistor change the problem is solvable. Here is a link to that: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INDESIT-Tumble-Dryer-Front-Thermistor-GENUINE-/163880024192?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Even, if you want to buy a heating element, you can find on ebay. The thermistor is much cheaper , better to start with it. I hope this will help.

@@georgesworkshop8600 Thank you for the reply sir, I haven't actually checked the thermistor. Is there any way of checking that without replacing it first to see if that's the problem? But I have exactly the same problem as you do on the video. The dryer comes on but doesn't heat up and the cycle continues for around 4/5 minutes. Then just stops and all the lights start flashing. When I open it up to check it I can feel that it hasn't heated.

If you have multimeter please measure the resistor and test it the thermistor. Firstly, as it’s cold and then heat up with a hairdryer and check. if the resistor doesn’t change it’s faulty your thermistor.

Replaced the front thermistor is mine and worked for 1 load. Then lights started again. Do you think I should change the heating element. Is there a way I can test?

Hi, May you can see on the heating element the sign of burning. I don’t have tester to check, so I don’t know what to say how to check your heating element. If it worths as much to you to spend on a new heating element I would try.

@@georgesworkshop8600 Thanks for quick reply. Have actually sorted today. Got a new heating element. It was a thermostat on the heating element. I tested the continuity on it and got nothing.

@@georgesworkshop8600 it does but it was expensive, should of tried de-soldering the dead capacitor on the control module or taking it to an electronics repair man, the thermoster seemed allright when I first tried but had to be replaced. Cheers

Hi, I surprised, as I buy on ebay capacitors for £5/6, so it’s quite cheap. The termoster cost between £10 and 20, depend on which make.
