This video makes it look easy. I think I'll give it a go! So far I've learnt how to fully service a ford ranger truck, repair a Mira shower that's leaking and has caused a problem with the solenoid and how t replace the discs on a classic mini. Where would we be without the KZread!

Yo man, I did this. The fan now works as it should, but there was squeky noices, and the roller did not roll with clothes in. I dissmounted again, cleaned some and saw that belt was touching a Sharp plasting Edge, so moved it as far left as possible while still in «treads». Now squiky sounds are gone, but it struggle to roll the roller. Currently washing 1* towel, in hope of it self lubricating after stood still for like 3 weeks.

Hi, I’ve seen earlier when roller has rusted and didn’t roll, so the belt couldn’t feed but slide. If the roller can’t spin freely it needs to replace, otherwise belt will split.

Just used this video to do this very repair. What i would say is I bought the part off amazon and instead of a serclip its a thrubolt with a nut on the end with threadlock and the pulley itself is made of a more robust plastic so I have more faith in this one lasting even longer than the first original.

Hi Adam, It’s happened a couple of times when I ordered aftermarket parts and they were a bit different from the original, but I’ve been lucky as I could fit them into. Are you sure have you ordered the right parts? If they were recommended to that model, you should be fine and finished with your project.

The most common issue is a faulty capacitor, that could cause this- the drum not spin in this case the engine cannot start, no noise. But there are would any other reason. You have to open the machine to find out.

Hello, The back bearing replacement should not in connection with spin directions. You have to wait a bit longer to check if the drum inverted. The best way to check if you look at before you put it back the top lid. If definitely don’t spin to both ways, that is programme issue on control panel.

Hi, I presume you need to replace the capacitor. When capacitor is broken engine won’t start and don’t turn the drum, but heating element is burning, that causes the smell. As I didn’t diagnose the machine I can’t be sure what’s wrong, but I met same issue and the above mentioned was happened.
