I was obsessed with eating ice all the time. Turns out it was anemia. I struggled with anemia all my life until I found out I had hormonal issues which was causing anemia. It could be something different for you though, but I suggest not to ignore these signs. It's best to see a doctor as soon as you can. I avoided it, thought it would get better if I just eat healthy. It was much harder than that for me. I learned my lesson when I got so anemic that i had to get a blood transfusion. Everyone's situation is different. There is nothing more important than your health and it is better to find out the reasons, it eventually helps. 😊😊

Listening to you guys talk about your day and mention names such as “picadilly square” make me so nostalgic. I went to a Europe trip couple years ago, I just missed the place, the vibe, walking down the street, looking at all these beautiful “vintage” buildings, man I really wished I appreciated it more and took more pictures. Literally heart aches everytime I think of london it just hits different

Iron deficiency is such a pain Moon!!! Very broad symptoms and 6/10 women have it but only 1/10 are treating it. The panting after going up a flight of stairs, Random dizziness, Ice and soil cravings, cold when the sun is scorching CRAZY!!

My friend used to snack on ice cubes, and it turned out to be iron deficiency! It wasn't just an 'oh I want it' but an actual craving. The doctors prescribed some iron vitamins and after taking those she stopped eating ice :) Maybe Moon could get checked for that as well :)

Don't worry Moon, you're not alone. I'm thalassemic (basically the same as Anemic) and I crave ice and eat them just for fun too. I get cold easily too, which is why I'm not fond of winter.

Yes regarding anemia check your ferritin levels! Low ferritin is the first sign of anemia but they almost never include a ferritin test in your normal bloodwork, unless you specifically request it. And if they do, the range of what is considered "normal" is an insane gap of 20-300 (i cant remember the exact numbers). But anything under 60 is too low! My ferritin levels were always at 25 which is way too low but still considered normal within the range. I was experiencing a lot of symptoms related to anemia including the ones Moon mentioned. Doctors only look at iron levels to determine anemia so by the time you are diagnosed with anemia your ferritin levels have been completely depleted. Low ferritin leads to low iron which can cause a lot of issues like fatigue, anxiety, heart palpitations, hair loss, pale skin, brittle nails,... the list goes on. Anyway im passionate about this subject because so many women are affected by this and they don't even know it. It can also cause major problems including post-partem depression, after a woman gives birth her iron reserves are completely down. Please spread more info about this and get this info out because it can prevent a long domino effect of problems!

When I was very low on iron I liked eating tissue and paper also ice. So, maybe what Moon said is correct.

ya moon i agree with u, i also was addicted to ice, i mean before i used to sneak from the freezer , and soon i got caught by my mom, as she didn't know i was like addicted to it, even after that i sneaked a lot and then idk why I felt i shud like completely stop and and i did, yes i am like a bit anemic, i have low iron, hence iron deficiency, but now moon i have like stopped for good, coz ik it's for coping up with anemia but it's not good for health too, so yeah....happy to share this experience with you moon ❤️, also Taz congratulations, u both mean like sisters to me and i love ur content,it's just like i want, always makes me happy ❤️ also sending love from India

6:53. Hi Moon! And Taz lol. I can relate. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved eating ice. I would literally find those ice trays that made the tiny cubes to eat because I love it so much. I stopped eating it after a while because I read it was bad for your teeth, and so I just made sure my drink was cold with a lot of ice instead. I have been told I have low iron and low blood pressure by my doctor multiple times, which correlates to anemia and my possible POTS diagnosis (I’m still being checked for that one) and eating a lot of ice. I’ve always been naturally very thin and slightly underweight for my height and age, so that is where my anemia developed from. I would recommend taking iron supplements maybe once a month if you need to, but I would see a doctor first and ask if that’s what you need because I’m not a professional lol. Hope you’re well!

I was severely anemic for years without knowing. I loved ice and slept 12 hours a day (10 hour sleep and a 2 hour nap) !!

I really relate to the brain going faster than your body thing , it feels like I'm lagging HHH many times I find myself making mistakes because of that and it's really frustrating, I've never met someone who relates to that actually which made me feel kinda alone /not anymore 😅

My mom and I both have thalassemia and we’re both obsessed with ice!! We drink it, chew it, eat it hahah. But we live in tropical weather so that might be a factor 🤣

I agree with Moon it’s it linked with anemia. I was very anemic in 2017 and from then on I always craved ice and loads of it even after have a iron transfusion. Once I became pregnant and I had to take iron pills daily I stopped craving ice. I think my anemia got fixed 😁

@@pavinenyangao8056 your doctor has to prescribe you with iron tablets. There could be risks during delivery. My doctor was super concerned about my iron levels at the beginning of my pregnancy and once I had the iron medication daily there was major improvement and the was nothing to worry about.
