Wonderfully nostalgic. Great theme and brings back memories of when I used to see this on TV in the 80’s,and my numerous visits to San Francisco over the years. I always recall they modelled the exterior on The Fairmont,and the lobby on the St.Francis. Two iconic hotels in the city.

I miss shows like this and the stars here were such good actors most gone now. This brings back so many childhood memories love the music.

What an amazing cast! And this was only season one. It’s like a “Night with 1000 Stars”🥳

Aaron Spelling pulled no punches. He had a lot of big names. Bette Davis played the hotel’s owner in the pilot. Same with Love Boat and the short-lived Glitter.

Wonderful to see all the cast people in the series Hotel. I recognise most of them from TV when I was growing up. Nice, pleasent programmes then where today most TV is dark and negative. Bring back Hotel. Make people have that feel good factor again.

Dynasty, Dallas, North and South, Knots Landing, Bonanza, Falcon Crest ( I´m so sorry I never saw this soap :(), Trapper John, Chips, Beverly Hills 90210, Happy Days...All the stars from other shows in "Hotel". I have to buy the DVD-Collection. Very good video.

Falcon Crest is available on DVD. You could watch just Season 1. It has a satisfying season finale that doesn't leave you hanging.

Speaking as a night time soap fan...Since this was an Aaron Spelling show, I noticed one or 2 Dynasty and The Colbys actors, and little Tori Spelling! But was anybody else surprised by the number of CBS.....Dallas, Falcon Crest, and Knots Landing actors in this???

It must have paid well. This, Love Boat, and Fantasy Island would routinely get series leads of competing networks to guest star. The coveted guests role were the Love Boat episodes that shot at real destinations, like Europe and Australia. Free trip.

@@totallytivo I guess their regular shows didnt have clauses in their contracts prohibiting appearances on rival network shows.

Marvellous work! amazing! Great names! Talent and beauty! congratts and loves from Argentina!

It was so wonderful growing up in a time where we had so many interesting and creative celebrities. I love the fact that there is not one of these performers I did not know. Such a great time for tv and film in general.

Kudos to the person that put this together. So well, done and in alphabetical order with no breaks in picture or music, so seamless. This had to take hours to do. Would love to see this with Love Boat and Dynasty.

I loved the show. I miss shows like it.

During the show's first season, Eva Gabor had just separated from her fifth and final husband, aerospace executive Frank Jameson. I don't know when they were officially divorced. She kept it out of the newspapers. Both she and Eddie Albert were doing the Moss Hart play, You Can't Take it With You, in New York. (Moss Hartvwas Kitty Carlisle's husband. He died back in 1961.) Also, both Eva and Zsa Zsa signed to do a TV series that Eva's dahling, Merv Griffin, was going to produce called Two Hungarian Maids. But unfortunately, it never got off the ground. Speaking of Merv Griffin, both he and Eva started going out together regularly the next year (1985); while his talk show was still on the air. Even when it ended in 1986, they stayed together for the rest of the 80's and on into the 90's

I love San Francisco

Hotel aged better than Love Boat and Fantasy Island. This was straight drama instead of the barely funny comic relief story that the other shows featured.
