I stayed at the Comfort Inn in London's Hyde Park suburb in June 2024. Two of us stayed on a Sunday night paying £98.20 for bed and breakfast. This was a decent price for central London. The hotel is located a 3 minute walk from Queensway tube station, so is easily accessible and well connected to the London transport system.
The hotel reception is very small and with just a handful of people there it feels crowded. The lift / elevator was out of order and this really impacted upon our experience as we were on the fifth floor of the hotel. I was absolutely knackered when I got to the room. Thnksfully I only had small luggage. I don't know how people with large suitcases would cope....
The room itself was quite small, but very tidy and clean. The bed was a standard double, there were bed side tables and electrical plug socketts next to the bed. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer, TV, wardrobe, dressing table, two mirrors and USB ports for charging.
The bathroom was small and narrow but modern, clean and tidy with a decent walk-in shower.
Breakfast was continental style, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, bread, pastries and fruit. The breakfast room was very small though and only held 16 people - keep this in mind, I'm sure it must get packed, but we went very early so it was quiet.
The staff on reception were really helpful and very friendly.
All in all if the lift had been working I would have recommended this hotel as a good budget option, but unfortunately until the lift is working, I cannot recommend this hotel for reasons of accessibility. I would consider re-looking at this hotel once the lift is back in working order.
