✨IMAGINE✨: The spirit's use their powers to bring Gin back to life, So Gin get back to life but not as a spirit but as human, when he wake up he immediately look for Hotaru and find her in the tree hand putting some flower's probably for him, after she place the flower's she stand up ready to leave but when she turn around she saw Gin at first she thought she's dreaming so she rub her eye's but Gin didn't disappear, Gin laugh at her reaction and said "Are you going to stand there and rub your eye's until you have no more or are you going to hug me?" Hotaru realize she's not dreaming and run to hug Gin, When she hug Gin she cries "I miss you!" she said crying, Gin chuckle and said "Im here now" while rubbing her back, Hotaru pulled out from the hug and wipe her tears "But how?" she ask, Gin smile and said "It doesnt matter" and pull her into hug again. P.s: English is not my first language so im sorry for some the wrong grammar's

it shows that it doesn't take many characters to have a compelling story. a few will do just fine.

Just imagine what if..... After gin died Hotaru started walking out of the forest with heavy grief in her mind but suddenly she fell down hitting her head hard and she woke up in a hospital room. She got really scared and screaming for Gin and the doctors rushed into her room. Later she finds out that she was in a coma for the last 5 years and every single memory of her with Gin was just a dream. As the story begins with Hotaru getting lost in a forest (which represents her being scared because she was in a coma but she couldn't tell it to anyone that's why she felt so lost) But then Gin finds her (which represents her hope.... Hope of waking up one day) and her not being able to touch Gin represents (her not being able to move and being stuck inside her own body) And finally being able to touch Gin gave her enough hope to finally woke up for her coma!!

About 4 years ago, I heard this song for the first time. I was just listening to different songs, and eventually came across this one. I read the comments, and eventually found out about Hotarubi no mori e. I decided to watch it out of curiosity, and I cried a lot. Hearing it again after 4 years... I'm literally on the verge of tears. QwQ

When gin vanised, it made my heart ache so bad and I was hoping that he'll come back... After all it has to be happy ending but when I thought about the ending more I came to realise that it is a happy ending because gin will always be alive in hotaru's ❤️... Atleast they got to hug each other in the end... This movie reminds me of long distance relationships

well....i guess somethings just weren't meant to be together... No matter how hard they tried to avoid it, there's still this one day where all things end by a single wrong move.... Its just sooner or later :( This all went the wrong way from the start when thery're only friends, nothing more. But as time passed, feelings grown stronger. But until now, they've done well... trying so hard to avoid each other, holding in all the craving, lust... It's not anyone's fault, maybe they're just no fated... . but on the bright side, they're loved. Loved by all of us :)

Dude I feel the same way as you do... my heart was crushed when I watched L's death and felt lonely and depressed. After Death Note I watched this movie and my heart was crushed the second time. All that is left is a pile of power now...

At first when I started watching my favorite character was light aka kira cause he wanted to punish criminal and help the society but after his father death and the innocent people he killed I didn't liked him at all and l 's death Effect me more then lights death.

This movie really hit me.. I watched this on Valentine's Day and I am still crying... Another reason why I hate children. The fact that Gin got to Hug her and was really happy it broke me. I will remember this movie forever.

This was my first anime. Every time i rewatch this i cry so much. Perhaps every greatest love story has to be unfinished...the pain it had caused me. Hotaru 's excitement for summer break ..something to look forward to.i know how much it hurts to not have anything to look forward to anymore.I hope in another universe Hotaru meets Gin.

The thing is- I don't think he can.. Because he might've fully disappeared like he said would happen. He's just a spirit, so if his soul disappeared then he can't come back he really did poof forever. 😭

I wish I can forget this movie then renwatch it, it's so simple yet so deep it makes me appreciate even the smallest things in life and I'll forever be great full to have experienced this master piece
