Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I believe this to be the best looking end result for a wheel swap. Swap wheels with the factory look. Enjoy!

Before gluing the tube onto the base, use a file to cut a couple windows into the tube about 1/4" from each end (file about half way into the tube). You can then insert your wheels and axles from each end and secure them with a drop of CA glue into each of the windows.

I use the same method. Sometimes I'll crimp the tube instead of super glue. But mainly glue.
Well worth the invested time looks fantastic
Awesome wheel swap method a lot better then just the crimped axle method thanks for sharing 😁👍🏼👍🏼

I like this method because it allows the wheel to spin on the axle. Some methods glue one wheel to the axle, then the axle rotates, and that seems unreliable. Still, I haven't done a wheel swap yet. I just stripped the paint from two bodies, then I'll repaint and do wheels and tires. :)
Another great and informative video, keep them coming!!!

Great tutorial. For sure this is the most time consuming one yet most likely the best. Looks like Mattel tries to make it difficult for people to modify their Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars on purpose.
Cool! I just picked up some of them nail looking nails lol and I know they will work 💯

How does one cleanly take wheels from a premium hotwheel with a metal base? Sometimes the prongs on the axles are to close for a screwdriver to pry apart
They swapped in wheels look fantastic mate

Cool swap and great job! I want to do a wheel swap on a '69 Dodge Charger 500"...
What wheel brand do you use when the car has 2 different wheel sizes ? The one you use appears to only have one size
If you had to drill out the base, what size drill bit do you need?
I’m something... not sure what. Nice job. Car looks great.
Where can I get those wheels I have looked on Amazon I didn't find them there all I found was greenlight wheels.
Can you give me the info or link to buy this small tubing cutter ! I ordered 3 of them so far and all of them are to big lol.
My wheel kits come with a full length axle like those 1/32 scale toy car how do i install them
very nice method!
I want to try doing this but does anyone know of good wheel companys?
That Celica is a great little casting. Too bad theyre tricky to find now.. I quite like those monoblock wheels, I might have to look into them. Currently I use Greenlight wheels.

Year later, every find anything?
I know its late because its 2022, but where do you get a random assortment of wheels?
Cant the wheels just be easily pulled out? Do you put glue in the little hole of the axel?
Can I ask a question? So can we screw out the base with a screw driver
I'll rather spend the time (keeps me busy) to have the best result, I'll be using this method.

Personally, I don't really like the idea of heating the casting to remove a plastic base. I'm pretty sure it damage them. Tho, may I ask you why was there such a gap in between the base and the body in the finished product? Was it because the wheels were too big?
@WheelsNThangs

No, the wheels were fine and smaller than the original. I did not glue the base as mentioned in the video..

Jose Osornio poke a square of paper through the axle and up to the tire. Super glue it and then pull the paper off when it drys. If there was to much glue it will stick to the paper and you can work that of with your finger. Your wheel will be free.🤷🏽♂️
