That was a lot of fun to watch and even more fun to be a part of the video shoot!! :) I gotta go with Hot Wheels for the nicer quality although I actually like the look of the darker white paint on the Tomica. Even though Tomica uses the same wheels over and over again I really like the look of them on this casting.

There are details on Hotwheels thats looks cool and there are details on Tomica that looks better. If only there's a way to combine those features into one awesome car. :) Great intro by the way.

I have a Tomica Civic TypeR which I only finally found one few months ago. So Tomica!! And plus, the Hot Wheels version is harder to find than the Tomica version in the Philippines. Some toy stores are restocked these Civics even in my area

You forgot to point out that hotwheels was able to do the 'Type R' writing because the upper grill where the Honda logo is doesnt exist. Unlike Tomica, where they fully modeled the grill.

The way I see it, unless hot wheels isn't making a particular car model I'm sticking with hot wheels. They are affordable look even better at times despite the doors not opening, although their are models that do.

Nice review bro! Funny enough, the tomica civic type r although it costs 7SGD in sg, (Supposedly) you can't find this car priced below 10 dollars from resellers especially the black color version. People are expecting this car to shoot up in price much like its previous generation fd2r. I also heard that there is gonna be a new release of the FK8 for tomica this upcoming 2018. Hope Hotwheels does the same as well... I still prefer the tomica's version since it's more boxy. I like it more boxy haha.

My vote goes to Hot Wheels for not having the opening hood. As you mentioned, we display a 1/64 die-cast mostly without opening their moving parts even they have one. The Tomica opening hood gives a huge gap on the panel line of the hood, which is an eye sore to me. Oh, and thumbs up to HW for giving it the side mirrors!!

In maybe in 2018, can you compare the 2018 honda civic type r in majorette and tomica . and TOMICA IS LICENSED WITH FERRARI! its a laferrari its 1:64 scale? or not, what its your expectations drifter. compare a hot wheels maisto and tomica laferrari, i'll wait ok if it comes out. :)

I have the Hot Wheels and Tarmac Works Type Rs but not the Tomica (yet!). I wrote up a comparison of the Hot Wheels and Tarmac Works and while the TW is obviously much better, the HW punches above its weight. Especially at its $1 price point here in the US. I'm not surprised that it compares well to the more expensive Tomica too.

Hey drifter! I'm a fan of your videos and I'm from Singapore! P.S Tomica is way better because it has suspension.

I think the offset of the wheels looks much better on the Hot Wheels version, they are way too inset on the Tomica car. I don't like the opening hood because it looks really goofy when its closed. I do like the wing and the window panels better on the Tomica version though, although I think overall I prefer the HW version.

Whenever i see the new civic, its a hard debate whether the tomica or hot wheels did it better but the tomica's only thing left is to make a premium version of it then it might be a different class

both are cool... HW looks ´cleaner´ but the tomica has more and sharper details. HW lights are better too... then, looking at the price, i think HW is the winner here despite the lack of an opening bonnet

I prefer tomica because it's a great canvas for customizing

Have to say in this one I'm going to go hot wheels this time. As I see it their faster on the track and look better when displayed. Tomaca looks good too but it kinda looks like a knock off with the benefit of an opening hood and suspension, that's not enough for me

For Veneno, I prefer Hot Wheels. For Ferrari LaFerrari and Honda Civic Type R, I prefer Tomica.

Hotwheels has a side mirror but the tomica has no side mirror

I like the tomica one

Mostly hotwheels have no front and back details unlike tomica, plus tomica details is more refined..
