I remember when world race came out in 2003. My parents got me one of those exclusive packs that came with 2 cars and a VHS of the first episode. I didn't watch the full movie until around 2007. Then a couple years went by until I learned that Acceleracers was a sequel to world race. I just wish it didn't end in a cliffhanger. Plus I love the fact that these movies were animated by the same people who did Beast Wars.

It's kinda weird that these movies are part of so many people's childhoods but no one really talks about them. Those popular cartoon reviewers who often talks about older shows/animated movies? Nothing. Music covers? Just a few. And it's funny because the soundtrack and some of the remixes get a lot of views. You figured Acceleracers would be more popular.

Just hope they'll get enough of a resurgance to warrant giving us fans some closure.. Mattel left the animated series on a perpetual cliffhanger... and with that, refused to release the back-half of Teku, Metal Maniacs & Silencerz cars.. I know its been 16 years.... but dammit, some closure would be nice...

Acceleracers was cancelled due to the revolving marketing team, and worries that Acceleracers was becoming more popular than Hot Wheels itself. The concepts and designs made for the Acceleracers continuation were eventually moved to Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5.

@@donnycorn3086 They had a TV movie after Season 2, yet for some very bizarre reason, they only dubbed it in Spanish with English subtitles. NO ENGLISH VERSION WAS EVER BROADCAST.

So much NOSTALGIA, I love it. Acceleracers is hands down the best series in the Hot Wheels line
