if you watch the behind the scenes you will see that they made a ramp for natalie portman to stand on while they film so that she could look taller. They intentionally wanna make her taller.

Yep that's been going on for a century. Apple boxes for actors to stand on are known as "starmakers"! Part of it is the aspect ratio. I had to design a cart once so that both Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman could fit in a scope frame as they're both really tall and one was on a cart the other on horseback. In Toy Story because Buzz and Woody's heights were so different they cheated all the time. Often just sinking Woody through the floor because it was CG and they could do it! And when they have to talk underneath the car and such sinking them imnto the ground let them have both heads in frame! It's silly people go on about actors' heights for characters when nothing is "real" and it's always been cheated for effect...

@@halfvader8015 oh absolutely! Whenever you see the photo of all the actors at the movie premiere you can tell Natalie is shorter than what the movie made her out to be. She’s nowhere near the height level from the movie. At least whenever she’s in the costume that is

The helmet sculpt with the helmet change where the head was half blad reminded me of Robocop when he was missing his helmet 🤣

In my opinion she has some of the best seamless arms on any 1/6 scale figure I have seen. They look insanely real. And those headsculps are just to die for. This figure was such a massive W for hot toys even though it had some issues.

Per the MCU, Mighty Thor is 6ft while it seems they still used Tessa's real height of 5'4". In that respect the scaling seems correct. In the comics Valkerie is def taller then Mighty Thor. 6'3" for Valkerie and 5'9" for Mighty Thor. Regardless the figure looks cool. Def think an artisan version would kill. Thanks for vid!

I added a cover to my spring load clasp on the stand for Wandavision Scarlet witch to protect her suit. I used the heavy duty "soft side" of black Velcro to sew around the plastic clip. So I have a cushion between the suit and hard plastic clasp. Works nicely.

Whilst the movie maybe has its flaws, the designs were pretty solid and should’ve been in a much more structured Thor movie. Gorr is my favourite part of the movie, easily but Mighty Thor and Gorr should’ve been in a future, more serious and darker Thor film, rather than an overly comedic one like Love and Thunder.

I'm eager to receive mine whenever it floats out of the aether to my house. A lot of what's going on with it is right up my alley, and I'm glad Taika's use of staging to make Natalie Portman taller whenever she became Thor is present here. Here's hoping Thor's mourning black & gold outfit comes out at one point too from the film.

Personally everytime I saw her with the helmet on I couldn't see her under the helmet both in the movie and figure. So I guess they did a good job at it. I'm so excited to get her someday! Great review and happy she turned out good! Think it's time for Hot Toys to make a new design for us to display our figures on the flight poles.

Seeing how the helmet attaches makes me curious if either of the Avengers 1 Loki helmets can go on Jane. I think the reason not all the hoot toys have the moving eyes is because most people probably put the eyes looking to the side which is SH Figuarts famous gimmick for second heads

Damn sorry to hear that. I did address it at length in my 2 most recent livestreams. I have taken additional steps since then as well. Try your bank and the Hong Kong consumer council. They have an online web form that you can fill out. Their entire reason for being is to help those who have purchased from an HK business and have not received what they paid for.

Justin, are you going to ger her rooted? With the BD helmet, she would look phenomenal for photography. The cape is 10/10. I'm not getting her, but some pictures I've seen of the figure, as is, sell me on her being a banger figure in a marvel collection.

I agree people will pass on this figure because they didn't like the movie. I still have her on preorder, great figure. Wait until you review She-Hulk. The videos that are out now are very positive, great figure also, poseability, body sculpt, joints etc. I will likely get also. This Mighty Thor and She-Hulk are from a movie and show not well received, but the figures are great.

Oh wow… The sheer level of disappointment over the likeness (or lack thereof) with the fully-helmeted head, _as a viewer,_ cannot be articulated, so I can only _imagine_ the depth of your own disappointment! You’re right that the battle-damaged helmet helps, but for me it’s not enough! Given that fact, on top of my _massive_ crush on *Natalie Portman,* when I get my hands on this figure, she’ll 100% be displayed sans helmet (or maybe I’ll try to finagle the helmet into her left hand, whilst *Mjölnir* is in her right). 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ *P.S. - Mighty Thor/Jane-Thor* is definitely meant to be taller & buffer, when in *Mighty Thor* form, so this figure _is_ actually accurate… TL;DR, it’s all good, don’t sweat it. ❤️🥰👍🏻 *_P.P.S. -_*_ I absolutely loved/love _*_'Thor: Love & Thunder'_* 🩶🩶🩶

If I'm a fan of a character, I'll get the figure if the quality of the figure is good for the character. If I'm buying a figure because the movie is good, I don't have to like the character. Hell, I've seen ppl drool over a figure because the movie was amazing but the figure wasn't as good. Who am i? I am a collector and i have an opinion on collecting. Just as you do.
