I prefer the new one. The sculpt is better. But i agree he is too pale. The old one did look too waxy and the eyes were sunken in. So im happy for the change, for the most part

I think here is where the #waitforinart meme truly becomes reality. Incredible how much of a decline from proto to near-final this head sculpt went. The hair is more plain and less detailed. The face is anemic and softer. The expression seems to have gotten worse too. The cowl still has issues too, but I’m sure they’ll announce another update within 1 year of this releasing 😂 But yes I’ll stick with my DX19 and wait for InArt. At this point Hot Toys has TDK Batman fans in an abusive relationship.

I'm new to collecting and I've been blown away by Hot Toys figures and their incredible detail and accuracy to the source material. When I saw this sculpt the other day, I was shocked! I couldn't believe how off this sculpt was. I was like, is this a joke? Am I the only one who thinks this is really really bad? Did the production team actually think this was ready to release to the public? How could they not see that his skin tone was drastically pale and that his hair was unnecessarily lighter and grayer than it was in final movie? Seriously, though! Hopefully someone on the team is seeing the public commentary about them missing the mark on this and we get a sculpt closer to the prototype. Keep up the insightful videos, Mr. Mom!

HT’s don’t care about shafting the collector! I have DX19, good enough for me! All they care for is money!

Now seriously... when are collectors going to realise that INART making a market for Supper high price 1:6 has just made it possible for Hot Toys to bend everyone over and release figures at much higher prices than normal for basically a $200 figure at they're fanbase taking it up the ass willingly. SoSo toys and the 3rd party more reasonable 66 line is evidence of that quality for a lower price.... Sorry but Hot Toys now is out priced for me

Except for the Artisan line, the HT prices has remained mostly consistent with the increased production costs and inflation. Blaming INART for the general status of HT is simply not right. I think INART prices will start going down once they figure out how to reduce their production cost (and speed). Iron Man prices for instance was out of hand way before INART was even a thing. Back in 2012 a diecast IM costed around $280 now they start at $400. As for the armoury, the original Dark Knight Armoury was also north of $500, and the one with Alfred was around $600. Prices have went up in general since we started collecting, unfortunately what you get for the cost has been reduced.

Honestly I think the new sculpt itself looks pretty great and an improvement over the proportions of the original, but what's making it a downgrade is the paint. The dry, pale look combined with less detailed applications contribute to making the new head sculpt look softer than I suspect it actually is. @somersfamily mentioned that it looks like a JND statue, and that was literally my first thought seeing the new head sculpt lol

Is it just me or does this look like he did in equilibrium?

I far and away prefer the DX19 over this. I have from the beginning. The only thing I would change on my DX19 is the neck. It is slightly too thin, but I’m not sure you can just upgrade the neck with something from OT Customs (if it’s even in stock anymore) without upgrading the collar and the head itself.

Preordered for the og sculpt. And the armory. Changing the head sucks and they shouldn’t of messed with it that much

I have 9 jokers and 4 batmans, i'm a huge fan and im sorry this is way off to me. Looks like the jnd statue, 😂 but I'm only talking about the head sculpt as of right now and that hurts to say cause I'm a huge huge fan

The suit upgrades are very nice. The Bruce scuplt looks like Jerry Danrigde from Fright Night with the wrong hair, I didn't like the 1st one either tho

yeah it's ugly. they need to fix this asap

It’s the same suit. Batman begins is the only difference. He kept the same suit from DK that was used in TDKR

This is not my favorite suit or Batman taking out Begins, thay trilogy is soo overrated. Plus as the Joker from this line/license move on!! Don't matter is its "updated" or not please move on from this line🙄🙄🙄🙄.🦇🦇🦇
