    Love your content. Though I will always keep shippers. Cut the tape off them and keep them flat. I just think “complete with shipper” sells easier. Overall great video, just a difference of opinion.

    Great video Shane, extremely helpful. Since I don't have so many figures I just keep the art boxes in the shippers and put them away in a closet. But I could definitely see myself going this route in the future. Keep up the great work 🔥

    Seriously Ryan they are great. 10 regular sized 1/6 art boxes. Even if you have to put them in attic. The plastic should protect them from any potential Damage (leaks, dirt, dust, insects, rodents etc). Plus they are stackable.

    Great video as always ,at this time I live in a small apartment, so all my boxes are in a cupboard. I'll keep them in their shippers to protect the art boxes untill I get a bigger place .but then they're gone . .. I wonder how many people cried watching this video ,hearing that you got rid of the shippers ..

    Would you recommend doing this process still with the figure in the box and storing in a garage. Live in the UK btw if that helps form an opinion! Great video!

  • @OneSixthFigureFocus

    @OneSixthFigureFocus

    Thanks for watching. Depends on the climate in the garage. Is it damp/temperature controlled etc. The attic I store mine in is dry. It can get hot in summer and cold in winter but I haven’t had an issue with any of the figures stored in this manner. Moisture and mould could be an issue if your garage is damp. Something to consider.

    If you have an 'Action' (store) in your area you could check out their storage boxes. The SAMLA from IKEA is 79x57x43 cm/130L for 22 euros and the box from Action is 76x57x42 cm/145L for 17,95 euros. Slight difference in size but could do the trick. #ShipperInTheShitter

    But storing all these figures boxes into one larger box definitely looks like it's taking more space in the end. There's a point to be made about the protection from humidity and damage by having the plastic box though I get that, but in terms of space , not so much...

    To be honest I just wanted all art boxes out of collection room and safety stored in a protective container in attic. It works for me but by getting rid of the shippers and playing a bit of ‘Art Box Tetris’ I freed up one of the boxes. Gotta think of the future. I do appreciate that while this approach works for me, it won’t work for everyone. 👍🏼

    Burn them!! Burn them all Ralphie!!! 🔥 I store my art boxes in those IKEA SAMLA boxes in the attic. It works for me. They protect the art box (important box) and they are stackable. Just by removing all shipper boxes (non important box) I managed to fit all art boxes into 4 SAMLAS instead of 5. I rarely sell figures. But if and when the time comes I will just get a generic box and pack the art box correctly and securely using bubble wrap. Which I have done in the past. As collectors we must do what works for our own individual collecting habits. This vid isn’t for everyone…thanks for stomaching the 6 minute torture! 😂👊🏼
