This stuff really cleans the injectors on my wife's 2018 Ram 2500 6.7L. My wife noticed a significant difference. Changed the sound of the engine. And much smoother at all rpms.

@@georgeramsey2827 I put about 10oz in a 33 gallon tank. Her truck only has less than 15k miles. This is the second time I have added it to the fuel. The first time was at 5k miles. My wife tends to idle the truck too much. My truck has 158k miles, with less than half the idle time.

I’d have a clean funnel, 100%. But it’s a superficial thing. Anything that gets into the tank and sucked up isn’t making it past the fuel filter, where as the additive is to clean the rest of the system.

Not only that, but he tries to rub the dirt off the funnel right there within the diesel hole so the dirt can go where ? Out or in? Simple Common sense.

Fuel tank screens get clogged and restrict fuel flow affecting delivery.

You just cleaned that funnel out right down the fuel filler neck!!!

I started using Hot Shots in my eco diesel up in Alaska. Put 105000 miles on that truck, now I have a Ram 2500 2017 with 70000 miles and not knowing how it was cared for. I started right of with Diesel Extreme. Great products. Geno’s Garage sells the gas cap, great for keeping dirt and junk out of you fuel tank.

Hey, nice video. I’ve got a 2018 ram 3500 stick shift that I bought new. I’m at 34,000 miles. I typically go to the Valvoline oil changer and today I had my second set of new fuel filters put in. They offered a diesel injector cleaner. So I put that in and filled up the tank. One nice thing you did is to use the long funnel because there is a second valve in the filler neck that I forgot about so some of my additive ended up over flowing and spilling out the vent hole underneath but I’m starting to look more seriously at additives now.🤔

I have an F-250 03' 7.3 with 230 K miles on it. I have used Hotshot products for over 5 years. You really can feel the difference after both the fuel and oil treatments. Really does clean out the injectors.

My service engine light came on in my ram eco diesel I use this hotshot on a full tank and it cleared it this additive is good. My first use of it I noticed a difference in the sound and fuel mileage. And it runs better I love it

Hi, I have a 2019 Ram 3500 dually 6.7 HO. I have heard good reviews about Hotshot products. I use TK-7 704 for now plus a friction modifier in the oil. I will be calling Hotshot and ask them some questions. Their oil sounds interesting. My owners manual recommends 10-30 wt. I'm in the southern states. Hardly any full synthetics in that range. Dealership sells 5-40 Rotella T6. They say that's ok. Not what cummins recommends. Hotshot has it plus the friction modifier. Kills two with one stone. One important thing people don't do is address the friction issue. Once I added it the engine sounded like a gas motor. Crazy stuff. A lot of good products out there. Do your research but do use the best additives you can get your hands on. It will pay dividends. Thanks, Benton

How was the HotShot product and are you using it now or what additives are you using

Used Extreme in my 07 Mack triangle with a 400 HP mack motor ,it had a miss when cold but two days after adding this to my fuel it's running like it should

I always pour it in at the fuel station and fill up for agitation. It cleaned up a dab of white smoke upon fillup and a rough idle.

I got a 97 7.3 turbo diesel. I use that all the time. Works 4 my truck

I did back to back treatments and then do the daily (per filling) treatment. I seen a difference not huge but a difference. So far 1.5 mph difference.

My check engine light came on on my 17 GMC 2500 reduced speed warning came on misfire on cyl 4 took this added it to fuel as indicated per 20 gallons, needless to say it cleared the check engine light and truck now runs smooth

I use Hot Shot’s Secret EDT in my 2016 Ram 2500 it’s not deleted and has no tunes. I have a 5 inch lift kit, front and back steel bumpers with a winch up front and I’m running 35x12.5 tires the truck weighs 8,150 lbs. Without the fuel additive I was getting 19.6 MPG and with EDT I got 21.2 MPG this is all highway driving. I use cruise control a lot and I don’t dog my truck.

My 1999 F250 Super Duty 7.3 - (Extreme) runs smoother, quieter, idles better. Really happy with this additive.

Great video. I just bought a 2018 F150 with the 3.0 power stroke. I bought it right at 100,000 miles and I want to tune and delete. I really don’t know much about it, I live in Kansas city area and no diesel shop wants to do it because they’re afraid of getting fined, etc. What did you actually have to do to delete and tune? I know there are several tuners out there, but i’m assuming you have to put a new exhaust on it as well but I don’t want my truck loud. I still want some type of muffler on it. Any advice will help. Thanks and by the way I just put in a bottle of the extreme myself. We’ll see how it works.

How meny oz do you add to a full tank?

I use high silica sand and ground up glass in my funnel before I use it to put my fuel additive in.

I’ve been using ULTIMAX from Baton Rouge Industries for my 5.9 Cummins They even have an additive for my hemi too

I use the hotshot as well but don't know how to use it or understand how much to put in there

Can you put too much of this stuff in? If I put the whole bottle into a half tank of deisel could it ruin anything or cause loss of power?

I use EDT at every fill on my Ecodiesel. Exreme every 25,000 mi.

Does anyone find that the smell of this stuff lingers around a for a while...

Are you supposed to use the whole 32Oz or just 8Oz for pick ups?

I got a 2019 F450 I bought it used 32k I’ve been using the Hotshot EDT and used 1/2 of the Extreme one full tank on a long haul still have 1/2 will use before I change my fuel filter

The EDT I add 4oz per fill up the other I added half bottle the bottle to full tank before I change the fuel filter every 15,000 miles or so

I just run two cycle Oil in my Fuel, 16 oz per tank, The way I see It is, If keeps 2 cycle engines running without any other oil and its designed the burn! Should Keep injectors happy for much less $$$. My truck is a 1999 Ford F-350 with 7.3 PSD, Never had any injector or fuel pump problems.

Hotshots is the way to go

I use EDT everytime I fill up

'15 2500 Cummins and the CEL came on, check the OBS with cheapo checker thing and it was a code P020A with was some bad action on the injector #1. Called the dealer was gonna take her in on Wenesday, this was Monday. Decide on Tuesday to get some Hot Shots Secret sauce and dumped her in and started it up and the CEL went off. Now correlation doesn't always mean causation, but hey the light is off. Whatever was in the injector probably cleared itself upon starting that time.

I use Amsoil diesel additive

Opti-lube XPD works best in my 2016 Cummins

What do I use? A clean funnel.

I'm torn between Stanadyne and Hot shots. Which should I use? I've used some additives before and they do work.

Stanadyne was the only additive that Cummins recommended, and would not void warrentee....now granted the last time I checked was when I owned my 2nd gen 24v,

Go watch project farm. He tests the different fuel additive. In his tests hotshots preformed better

So i got howes. Im new to diesel. Are you supposed to fill up then add the correct amount of additives or add additives then fill up with diesel?

I add then fill the tank, but if you put it in and are driving it should mix anyways.

Any 2 stroke oil will lubricate your injection pump and injectors for a fraction of the cost. 30 years of Cummins Ram experience ... I add Lucas 2-stroke oil to every fuel tank fill up. 30 years and over 1 million miles of great longevity.

Clean the funnel dude.. you wana fix the problem , but looking funnel you are going to cause more issue.

Put it in you fuel filter before you start truck run it straight then put in tank

I bought this truck used at 160K last month and have read good things about hot shot so I started with there everyday treatment and then I just add the extreme last fill up and notice a lot more black smoke so was just wandering if that normal that that treatment

My 2010 f250 I always have used the grey bottle power service diesel kleen + CETANE BOOST TRUCK HAS 256K ON IT AND I CAN TELL A DIFFERENCE IN IDLE ACCELERATION MILEAGE IS THE SAME. I GET IT AT RURAL KING 5$ TREATS 40 GALLON SO ONE TANK ON THE F250.

Definitely should have clean out out your funnel before putting it in your tank 😂

If you think that little bit of dust is gonna hurt anything you don’t know anything about vehicles. It would do more harm if I washed it out with water and took a chance of getting water into fuel than a little dust.

It’s called clogged fuel filters and keep in mind. I’m a diesel mechanic, if you are wanting to take care of your fuel injectors with this every day diesel treatment you would in fact be worried or concerned about a dirty ass funnel.
