BTW schools aren't teaching cursive writing, and students are being graduated that can't even read, so reading and writing are out of the curriculum, and it's not due to lack of funding, so if we give them more money, what else will we cease to teach! To those who want to say America has more people, anyone checked the population of China, they are teaching their students English, because they see it's the language of future business, America is still battling over the need to teach Spanish, because we've forgotten the language of our country!

Tbh, there's more to Megan Fox than just a pretty face and body, than just a sex symbol as some people see her as that before. She's a great actress for me, she's just not been given great roles in the past. But I think she's slowly regaining her career and is living a great life now.

Dan Zerbe yeah and for something so petty and useless as education. its not like teachers need help. shit they go to college for at least 4 years, have $20-120 thousand dollars in debt when they come out and then the government generously gives them a nice 30k starting salary!!! and they even let the teachers buy all their supplies. the teachers even get to teach kids how to take state wide standard tests so their school district gets money!

pat442389 There are reasons for everything. And before you go crying about how rough teachers have it, let me tell you. They better fucking know what they are getting into, and they should jump at the chance to do everything they can to help educate rather then complain about the how uncomfortable they are. Teachers deserve respect but that doesn't mean they deserve more for nothing. I dont know how bad it actually is in the classrooms there but we all need to embrace the new way of educating our children. Its called the internet. Go watch some TED talks and see how others are DOING something about the stupid ass-backwards way north america and most of the civilized world teach children. Some random african child will become a doctor who saves peoples lives and a random fat white kid watching this video might work at macdonalds his whole life even though he had everything handed to him. Teach the kids right and none of this matters, besides too many people "want to be teachers" anyway but really should just be babysitters.

***** channelisafunnyword I don't know about a 13 week "Vacation", at least in my school district. I know principles who drive taxies over the summer to make ends meets and teachers who take summer jobs (usually at programs and camps) to stay afloat. Teachers also work over the summer. They write curriculum's, attend conferences to learn new teaching techniques and state standards, and a month before school starts back they're in meetings all day and organizing their classrooms (all those charts and graphs in the all don't come with the classroom). lastly, teachers don't just deal with teaching their 20-30 students (which is a daunting number of students to try to engage and effectively teach) they also deal with parents, mental and psychological disorders (a child with adhd our autism is in the same class as other children and not with a specially trained teacher), long hours (because teachers almost always have to take work home with them), and in some cases the judicial system. I feel a bigger problem is that people just drop their kids off at school and say "ok, teach my kid. Ill be back at 3" when you have to be active in schooling as a parent for schools to be successful. And yes, these new teaching and administrative styles are excellent but a lot of them require a extensive amount of capital and support from the higher up. Teachers and schools cant just go around teaching how they want (I'm specifically refering to public schools in this comment btw) Be clear though that I'm not saying "therefore teachers unions deserve everything they're asking for but just pointing out that you may have some flawed assumptions.

Why blame the governor. Spending on schools should be local.

Parker Jennings The amount of upward mobility in the US is less than practically any other developed country. The income disparity is as bad as China and the upward mobility is as bad as Pakistan. While it's of course still possible, the system makes it much more improbable than most other developed countries.

Peter K You do know that smarter and more educated parents typically have a more wealthy income to support better education for a child, right? It's a cycle which narrows the poor to be more likely to adopt to poor amounts of living standards and the rich to teaching their youth premium education so they will be more likely to end up wealthy (Not just from inheritance, but to grow an empire for future generations). What a lot of people don't understand is that just because you inherit a million dollar company doesn't mean you're set for life. A company that lasts 4 or 5 generations lasted because of education, knowledge, and how business works, not because they were given it. Education is a lot more important than money. Adding education with millions of dollars though is priceless of the achievements you can accomplish. For humans, it has been the survival of the smartest and most educated for centuries. There's a reason for private schools. It's to separate the 1% from the majority because without the 1% or going over the 1% too much, the entire economy would fail. A good economic system needs few leaders and many workers. It may not sound fair, but life isn't.

Prem Sawari Educated is just a surrogate for some level of intelligence + money. In population studies, it's incredibly difficult to judge actual intelligence. (Even with hour long testing it's difficult) Therefore education level was used as a surrogate and it has been shown to be correlated with success. Most of this is likely due to the income vs intelligence since I don't believe scholastic achievement in university was as much of a factor. Just getting in and affording it. But it is a legit correlation (for whatever reason) so I feel it's fair to include it.
