Great to see everyone breaking the law in the opening segment by overtaking where not allowed. Good one.

@@thepurplesband I don’t know Sam, nor was I on the tour but the first clip shows one car, so not sure what you infer by the ‘everyone’ comment ? And then secondly, isn’t the overtake complete before the sign and also before the solid white line on the road ?

Well since Top Gear is no more, Sam you are our only hope.❤❤
I have been a part of such a trip. Maybe some suggestions, mostly for the fast driving sections. 1. Have a lead car, which is always doing the exact speed limit (or a bit faster if the driver is confident enough), cars behind will brake to a stop, wait 30s and then try to catch up. Lead car can be one car or rotate every 1h etc. 2. Have a person who is always a map reader/spotter on the trip. The spotter is on the passenger seat of the lead car and will alert about the cars coming, police, pot holes, debris, animals etc over the radio. 3. Take a radio/walkie talkie with an external on antenna which can be mounted on the car using magnets or something along those lines. Then the range will be up to 5km.

Point 1 sounds terrible. Otherwise 👌
Love the back and forth style of this video with your commentary on it all. Great format for road trip videos!
Total gem of a video, thank you very much. Amazing scenery and thank you for incorporating the viewers on your first STG Family run. Well done: planned, announced, performed, congratulations!
This could easily be a 1 hour special, it was that good. Amazing footage and format. Thank you, for visiting Portugal once again. Can't wait to see the next trip.
That 30 second sequence from 20:25 to 20:55 is absolutely perfect.
Shouldn't that be the logic of convoy driving: -It's better that the lead goes too fast than too slow -People follow according to their comfort levels, those who want to go slow stay at the back of the convoy -The lead slows down every once in a while. This is logical because slowing down for a short while or taking a short pause isn't painfully uncomfortable to those wanting to drive spiritedly like following behind a Mr. Driving Miss Daisy all day would be. You want the lead to drive a bit too fast rather than too slow. -Everyone should know the route before setting off. In modern days this should be incredibly easy with all the possible mapping app features for that, or with the "share my location"-feature. At minimum just plot the course on the nav and send a screenshot to everyone. That's how we convoy'd with a Carrera GT.
come back to Portugal more often!
Was well looking forward to this episode! Amazing cinematography, great job mate keep it up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Quality of Sam's videos is fantastic. This is the one of the only channels I would pay a subscription for to support the creator.
Sam, I really loved this video. Being a Portuguese car enthusiast, I’ve driven many of the roads featured in the video. I love the roads in the interior of Alentejo and the Serra da Estrela nature park. I do not own a super car, but I can tell you those roads are just as exciting (and maybe more demanding) in my Diesel Volvo XC90. Keep up the great content!
The song and sequence at 20:54 🤌🏼 masterpiece
What amazing content.... you're the only channel I still watch from your original car fwend gang!
It’s like a movie! Very well done
What a epic film that was . Well done to your camera men and a fabulous edit. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Funny you fiddled with the Jag’s valves. As soon as I saw what Tony turned up in I thought to myself, if I was there, the first thing I would’ve done was disconnect them on the Spyder.
I’ve said it and I’ll say it again. This is the best automotive YT channel in the world !

More tours needed! Scotland 🏴/ Ireland 🇮🇪 would also be class
Nice to see Tony in front of the camera! Hope to see more content from the Dynamic Duo! 😄👍
Sam, Tony, if you guys ever bring this stateside, I would totally join.
Been watching since the TT days, this might be my favorite video yet!
looks amazing guys...... VERY VERY well done...... Also, how good is Tony getting on screen.....loved his little debriefs......
Nice to see you all enjoy my country, 🇵🇹 🇵🇹 🇵🇹!!!
Tony cracks me up!
Congratulations Sam. It looks epic! I really enjoyed listening to the folks that went with you, on the podcast. Also, best wishes to Phil 😉
Thank you for choosing Portugal!
That looked fantastic Sam and Tony.
Best video you have done. Captured it brilliantly. First time I started on my iPad and stopped to watch on TV. Great job!
Looked like an epic trip. The video was beautifully shot and loved the back and fourth format from commentary to film. It shows the power of having a car interest can create great moments like this trip. Very special
This drive really really does seem gorgeous! Top class!
We've not really had any warm weather so far this year in the UK, so it's always nice to see these videos. Oh, and the cars, especially the Porsches, of course!
Welcome back to Portugal Sam and Tony!! This video was top notch, I'm sure you all had a great time in our roads with some beautiful landscape views. Cheers from West coast, Portugal
Good job, chaps. The editing of the tour is great and the juxtapositing of your personalities is always excellent. Thank you Sam and Tony.
This is your best piece ever Sam & Tony. We need more of this. You could invite other car KZreadrs each time. Tavarish one trip, Ed Bolian the next.....
Sam, EPIC video! I look forward to watching your videos every Sunday morning over coffee. Your videos have been such an inspiration to me and I can't wait for more and more content from you.
I’ve done many road trip with friends with numbers but my very first was with 17 other Cars of the same make in perfect weather up the whole west coast of Scotland. At one point you didn’t see another Car out with the group for a hour as we left early. This was before the NC500 was a thing. Everything just worked and the scenery was breathtaking, people outside the group enjoyed seeing the cars all line up at places. Always think I was spoiled because everyone was just great, great company and good food and best of all just a complete laugh start to finish over hundreds of miles. We all found our grove, some liked to push on more and others like myself to take it a bit more easy but the reality was you only arrived minutes behind the first car so it was all good. I’d pull in and say something was amazing be it a view or place and some would say “ where was that” because they were so focused on the Car in front that is all they seen on sections 😂 Sorry Scotlands to beautiful to let it pass you by. The trouble is you’ll be chasing that first experience now and probably only come close. But that looked a great experience everyone enjoyed and will remember. Nothing like sitting round a table at night talking over the drive of the day.
Awesome video loved the behind the scenes, insights, cars. Roads looked awesome
I do this for my friends. It helps to have two groups. One more spirited and one more of a touring pace. People always get lost, so you need to remind them to keep an eye on the people in front of them. Awesome video😊
Seeing u over in Portugal is always crazy and every time turns into the craziest and best car meet and drive of the year , thanks for coming and showing our roads
Thanks guys for the fabulous tour video. A driving tour with you two nitwits is near the top of my bucket list.
What a great video Sam. I just love Portugal. Been many times & and again this July! Cheers, John. (clock 23.09. Bloody hell)!!!!
Great video, absolutely love Tony
Gratz guys! Hope the next trip will be as successful and fun.
It's very nice to see that you enjoy Portugal so much. Makes me wanna go on my car get to know my own country a bit more 🙏🏼 Very nice to see a trip like this and really looking forward to the video because I know what's coming next 🤭😎 Keep the amazing work
LOVED the format of this video. Absolute triumph.
Sam & Tony congratulations on a amazing road trip with some amazing cars . Cool that lot of them where part of the gt line of porches. Jag and aston look amazing but that 296 was a stunner.
I would love to do this kind of trip with you two! I’ve been watching since the 4c days. Keep it up Sam and Tony
This video is absolutely incredible. As a viewer in the US I cannot describe how badly I wish I could've come on the trip. I swear you guys have to do a US trip at some point! Please please please film every trip like this. Loved every second of it.
You guys are brilliant!
Been looking forward to this - well done; would have loved to see more roads, driving and hotels (the complete experience). BTW, this is a brilliant business move for you. As the business grows, you can expand it to vintage cars only tours, this will allow you to delve deeper into your passions.

Dream job right there!
Brilliant video, wish it was much longer !
Amazing looking trip!
Nice to see you in my home country Portugal. And nice pick choosing the Alentejo region, amazing roads and scenery. And super cheap.
Did you all find your front plates on the eurotunnel on the way home “stuck in rear Venturi”? On a serious note, Sam and Tony, the trip sounded epic when I heard about it on the podcast. Then I heard how it went on the podcast afterwards, I was like “that sounded sick, I want to go on the next one”. Well, having seen this, I take that back, if I could drive I’d already be planning the wheels so I can book the second yo7 pull the trigger. You really filmed this beautifully. I think it is definitely the people who make a trip like this. I did two uni ski trips that highlight it beautifully, first just like this, the second, well I wish I hadn’t bothered! But I get the sense you guys ar3 radiators rather than drains, and you’ll attract fellow radiators on the tours!
20:24 sublime choice of music!
So glad to see you went to Vila Vita Parc! One of my favourite places in the world, and where I got married last year.
Brilliant stuff 👏
Great video! Looks like a fantastic trip
Great adventure!
Love this style of video Sam!
Great video. Loved the cut away comments from you and Tony👌🏻
Congrats. great video
That edit leading into the early morning mountain drive was perfect! beautiful cinematography
lets go! congrats bud.
Amazing video on amazing places ☀️🙌🏻
FANTASTIC content, Sam.
Brilliant video. It never ceases to amaze me how you guys thrash around at 5,000rpm+ - I don't think my S4 has ever been over 4,500!
Meu querido Portugal
Great video guys and what an amazing place to host the first tour.
Top content mate. The location is a great playground for drivers.
one day I'll buy a Porsche and rip it through the swiss alps, that's been my motivation to be good in school and rather invest time into myself than parties and other stuff the last years. Hopefully I'll reach my goal soon

Great start! Definitely better to lead too fast than too slow. As long as everyone has access to the same route, splitting into spirited vs chill groups is the way to go. Nothing worse than being stuck behind the slows for long periods when you want to send it.
Awesome video! This style was great
Looks like an amazing trip!
Wonderful video and looks like a lovely experience
Really Amazing Trip and video , in my country !!! Nice to know you enjoyed !!!
Loved this style of video Sam 💪🏻
