Justin Baldoni (director of five feet apart) made a documentary on her back in 2013-ish. She greatly impacted him and so modeled the character, Stella, after her- a youtuber, to-do list haver, poster of guy with chakras, her twinkle lights and a bunch of pictures in the corner. Oh and the panda bear mimics labor bear (shown at the end of this vid).

Sorry to ask but, did she pass away?

Im just going to post this here as many people dont know what happened. She had cystic fibrosis and did sadly pass away on the 2nd of September in 2018, She died from a stroke only a week after a lung transplant , she was only 21. She was an activist and had "claires place foundation" which helped many people and their families with cystic fibrosis . May she rest in peace 💕

Seriously? Is that something that really could've helped her live? That almost makes me more sad, but better late than never for all the others suffering with CF. This makes me so sad that she decorated it to be so homely because it was a permanent living situation for het, from what I can gather. The paintings of bricks really go to me though- all she probably wanted was to live in a cute red brick apartment, and healthy. It’s really sad to think of how inspiring and uplifting of a person she was, that she really radiated positive energy and put a smile on everyone’s face....that she made peoples life’s better but she was the one suffering physically. Rest easy ❤️

I found Claire just months before her passing but as someone actively working on my bachelor's in nursing, I can tell you she is the light of every nurse's eye and a well to draw constant inspiration from. I know, sweet momma, that as you struggle to keep her memory and her account alive for the millions who so desperately needed her, that you are hurting and struggling yourself to just open your eyes each day and find some way to keep going. But please know that whatever you do, whatever you give us, we will be grateful for. For even just small tidbits of this beautiful angel are more than enough to keep us going. She was so very special and unique and stars that burn that bright will forever light the sky. ❤

Well put. I second this, emphatically, as a nurse myself. I never met her, but I know she made a lot of people's days. I guarantee the medical staff looked forward to seeing her...that they did everything within their power for her... because they saw what everyone who was stopped in their tracks by her smile saw. And felt. Thank you to her mom for sharing her with us. The world needs more of this.

Last month I watched out the movie " Five Feet Apart " and really it dragged me to this channel .... Keep Smile " Claire Wineland " where ever you are. No matter you are not physically but you have became an idea, a thought that never dies but keep inspires decades after decades. We miss you.

You have no idea how many emotions I had felt watching the movie based on you. One of the things I admired her for is that she always looked like she knew who she was. She was able to express her true self 100% in everything she did and said, which isn't common at all. I still have troubles figuring out who I really am and what defines me, and sometimes I panic because I feel so plain and homologated... But I mean look at her room, every corner has her mark, it simply screams CLAIRE. I don't know if I would be able to do that. I may sound nonsense but I am SO inspired by her and I forever will be. my stepmom used to be her primary nurse at millers children hospital. she came up to me the day that she claire died and asked if i knew about her and she would tell me all of these stories about how she would just change the whole atmosphere of the room so it wasn’t hospital like and that she would feel more comfortable, she seemed like a lovely human and i’m sorry i wasn’t able to ever meet her. rip girly you’re truly an inspiration💛

i think we can all agree that she really lived big. She was really inspiring and only focused on the positive side of things. To her, negativity didn’t even exist and thats what everyone loved about her. She will always stick with us no matter what. She did so good, better than most. And one thing she taught us all, is to never give up, keep fighting and that anything is possible. Rest in peace angle❤️

These are the lives that teach me how my life is a luxury and should stop complaining and worrying about things in reality. Fly high darls, hope you're singing your fav songs in heaven rest in peace sweet soul!

She could of been like I can't live on my own or other things. But she was so grateful for what she had. Then I read the description and my heat broke xx

I know this is kind of a random question but... how did she end up in the hospital? I mean... what happened to her? I'm kind of getting concerned... Oh wait... I checked the description and researched the illness... its actually pretty sad.

Oh God bless her. I cry with every single one of her videos. She’s in heaven now guarding us in the company of God and all His angels and saints.

I never knew her,never met her,only heard of her from My Last Days and that her story was based off of Five Feet Apart (or something like that and had help with the film) and it although it is a really well done movie and enjoyed it and I could rewatch it, seeing her here and the fact she passed away before the movie was made really makes me sad. I miss her like a new her for a long time. She seemed like a young girl,wise above her years,and beautiful soul. She truly made an impact on everyone in any way possible.

Bless your soul, so happy they let people decorate their hospital rooms.

Your physical body may be dead but your words will live on through the internet and our hearts rest in peace you truly changed my perspective of life
