Working on Hoshi with long freeze 3beeps also. Waiting on parts for now, the float switch rubber base connector was crack and leaking water. So once I can replace that i can check on all the operating. This is my 1st Hoshi, love your videos on them helping me alot to become a greater tech. TY 🤙

Excellent problem solving! Water cooled condensers have been few and far between in my experience. I normally find the water flow regulator malfunction, not the install problem you found. Great catch along with the txv.

Nice find never seen a water cooled heard they use it alot in big cities... Most of the one I worked are self contained or remote.. the notorious txv.... Common on them

That was an easy service call. Rookies of course they gonna misdiagnose and play and guess and make the unit worn than it already is

Good job! How many times I troubleshoot and you have to watch out for tunnel vision. Can't find the problem because your looking for one problem and turns out it's two or more problems

Air cooled split unit... Bad headmaster valves. They are notorious for those to fail. Recover and weigh in your charge on all ice machines and small reach in coolers and freezers you'll be glad you did. Once you have that right then the trouble shooting is so much easier. Trust me I've been doing this for many years.

Hi thank you for charing Knowledge , and I really learn a lot , I been working on hoshizaki KML-451 ABD I RECOVER THE CHARGE AND VACUUM AND FINALLY PUT THE FACTORRY CHARG (1L 8.7 OZ) WHEN A RUN IT THE PRESSUR WAS 58/200 after 30min and the compressor freez up, you think that's gonna be a bad txv as well? Bought a used Hoshizaki km1350mrh no beeps but the machine timed out and center 2 evaporators not making ice . Hot condenser head and now we don’t know what else to do

It's a non adjustable valve, these machines are notorious for overfeeding txv's

Could the vapor from the water lines being swapped wear the seat of the expansion valve so that it flooded?

What the meaning in control box When i push around 5 second on panel number fucntion? Each number can u explain

Makes me wonder if the hotel technicians went as far as adjusting the valve superheat with the water lines reversed to try and compensate for the jacked up pressures.

i recently came across a manitowoc water cooled cube ice machine with the water lines swapped backwards. The head pressure regulating valve was hammering loudly. reminded me of an unbalanced washing machine on spin. idk if this caused the valve to fail, 12 yr old unit eh hard to say. goofy stuff out there.

Isn’t valve installed backward. Arrow should be pointed to the condenser. Water inlet .

My the compressor is on but only hot water is running. Not turn cold

Gotta love when people don't quite understand how the water cooled ice machines work and do everything ass backwards or wrong. I had someone hook up a scotty with no water to the condenser and another one that has been getting scaled up like hell due to the fact some dumbass wasn't paying attention and hooked the filter output side to the condenser and the ice making part to the unfiltered part.
