    With the Destroyers versus the Dreadnought, I believe the destroyers have to roll to hit and wound just like normal but only get a single attack each with the meltabombs. Then the meltabombs cause instant death. The dreadnought is not immediately removed but each unsaved wound becomes D3 wounds due to the Atomantic Deflector. Meltabombs are very good against dreads.

    We did miss the instant death part of the rule. But, do they not act like a krak grenade then? Instead it's a normal melee attack? I don't think the unsaved one wounds from the melta would have killed the Contemptor before the Death shroud came in and decimated him, but will definitely remember this for next time. Thanks a lot for pointing it out. We aren't perfect, but always improving 😁

    ​@@fareastwargamingyou Need to hit with melta bombs and It's One ( instant death ) Attack, with krak bombs It's One Attack that autohits, so you just roll ro wound ( and no ID )

    You may want to reread the deep strike rules again as the disordered roll has no bearing on the first unit to come down as they are only moved by the opponent if they scatter into an invalid position. Being disorderd means that the opponent places every unit but the first within 24". There also should have been a pinning test on everything within 6" which might have saved the bikes from intercept.

    Thanks for pointing that out. We don't deepstrike all the often in 2.0. 😅 So the way it should be is that the first unit comes down, then the rest are placed 24" surrounding, yes definitely would have change the outcome I think 🤔. We did do the pinning off camera, but cavalry can't be pinned, and the command squad had a banner. The rest on the other side passed. Wasn't noteworthy so I think we just forgot to mention it.

    Thanks for the suggestion. We'll try to add a bit more variety. Hard to find the balance between showing dice rolls and summarizing them. I'm sure there's a middle ground somewhere 😉

    At 25:00, I don’t think missiles were pinned. Sergeant was still alive. Leadership 8. Rolled 8. Also at 43:15, I think Heart of the Legion applied (maybe not if they moved) so 6x3 and 4x2. 26 shots total.

    Don’t forget Night Fight was in effect so the missles were testing on a 7 with the Sgt!

    I do so like 30k and the Old World. I compare to a 40k I watched yesterday, good players and a very goo producer but it is too swingy, too lethal and too many dice rolled. 30k is much more tactical and fun to watch. (My venerable age and the fact I started in 2nd ed. might affect my preference.)

    I used to really love 40k, but the last few editions really turned me away from it and 10th edition has basically killed my enthusiasm for the game entirely, it's just too different a game than what enthralled me before. As you say, 30k has the tactics and the thematic moments that I love and it's become my game of choice. I started in 3rd edition, so I'm probably biased myself too.

    Couldn't agree more. It's why we are dedicated to 30k. In regards to production value, it's journey we are slowly learning. None of us here have AV/production backgrounds so it's a steep learning curve. But we are slowly getting there 😉
