Shellie, I just wanted to give you an update on how much I have loved making these one year later! The only reason I even attempted making these is because you stated that it was suitable for beginners. I have made so many as gift items that everyone has LOVED and have sold over 50 of them over the year. I strongly encourage anyone who thinks they would not be able to make this to give it a try! Judy, thank you for posting this! I love Shellie's tutorials so much and am just about finished with the Hortensia large album. I have been putting my books on the market and have sold some and given most of them away as birthday presents! If you wouldn't mind telling me, what do you charge for the notebooks? Have fun creating your notebook. They are fun to make and I still use mine and just refill the paper pads in them.

Thank you Shellie for this beginner friendly tutorial. I only attempted once to use chip board and had a problem covering the chipboard with cardstock. It was a disaster. But now I found your instructional video that takes it step by step, at a slower pace, which enables me to follow. I am excited to make this folio.

This probably is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen for the notepad. You were very clear you did not talk fast and you explained everything so well. I applaud you on this tutorial. = one thing that I did not find on your page is the PDF for the measurements and materials

I just made a bunch of these for friends over the past few months. But I put a fold out on the left for a few pockets and even on a few I put a yearly planner under the fold out.

I also wrap mine in fabric. They get a lot of use so I wanted to make sure they wouldn't rip over time. But I love the Hortensia paper so I have to make this one. Love your tutorials Shelley, I watch all of them. Keep them coming.

Shellie, You are out of stock on the American Craft 80# white cardstock, is there any other cardstock I can use. How about Poster board? I want to make the Circle of Love folio. Please help!

You can use 65# cardstock or even 110 lb cardstock.

My daughter uses the large legal pads & loved the one I just made (my first 😊).

When you apply stickles to accent the flowers on HORTENSIA, do you just dab, spread, or dot just in a few highlighting floral etc. I would be interested in the pearly accent look…any suggestions…would diamond work well?

I apply lightly and can spread with top of stickles bottle. You don’t need much. A little goes a long way. If after you apply and want a more dramatic effect, add more. Lightly is what I do.

Hi Shellie, if this question is too person, I understand. I've become fascinated with creating paper projects but I'm still new at it. You mentioned that you've sold some of your notbooks. I always find it difficult pricing my items because I never want to overprice anyone. Without being too forward, how much did you charge for your notebooks?

@@patriciaclaridge4943 Tearing at the outer spine area ? Sounds like you bound it too tight. Next time you try, when wrapping the paper onto the inside of your album, don’t pull it over with force, just do what I do in video, first helping the paper then folding over gently. You don’t have to pull. Not sure if that could be issue? Do you remember when you wrapped it ?
