I so love it when I see the use of dies that I have chosen to own! This Stamperia paper collection is so pretty! Purples are always so dramatic! I am half way thru this video and just have to stop to say OMG you are amazing. I don't have a die cutter, and I'm so happy you give info on different ways to do the borders. I do have a couple border punches, so I'm so excited to really do this album later. (I like watching video first and writing down everything, then watch it again and make with you.) I just ordered 2 packs of Stamperia Provence even though I already have 1 pack because I tend to make a mistake or 10 so I like to have an extra on hand. I try to order from you when I can because I have benefited so much from your personal tutorials and those of your Design Team. My first try was the Steampunk Daze Explosion Box which really turned out nice. Then I tried the Steampunk Daze mini album and was so pleased with the results. I've been hooked ever since. OMG - what a GENIUS IDEA!! Did you come up with this?? I LOVE IT. I will definitely try to make one of these - HOW CUTE IS THIS??!!!!!! You popped up in my recommended, too!! Never heard of your channel before today, but am I ever glad that I decided to click and watch this video. I am not big on 'albums' per se, but I am big on creativity and inspiration. And what an inspired design this is! I've never really liked lace dies because I never could figure out how to use them - but seeing how you used yours, you have given me an appreciation for them and I will be adding some to my collection!! I really love how they look in this project. My favorite paper brand is DCWV and I have never heard of Stamperia, but those papers stacks are GORGEOUS!! And I don't even really do the whole flowery, shabby chic situation. But the colors and images are just so saturated and pretty!! Anyway - you have inspired me to try to make this or something very like it. Both your box books are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing this.

Absolutely gorgeous!!! And your tutorial is excellent. I will definitely be making one to pass down to each of my kids with pictures included of their kids. I believe it would be the perfect heirloom.

Hi Shelley, I have made this album 4 times now and I made a little change in the construction which I would made life a little easier. On the lid, I put the corner pieces on first, they helped me hold it square until I attached the rest of the pieces. Linda (Love your tutorials)

Es precioso!!! Toda una maravilla las dos cajas con sus proyectos. Pero no sé inglés y no entiendo lo que dice, por lo que no podría seguir bien el tutorial y más de una vez metería la pata, porque soy especialista en ello jajajaja.... Barbara - I'm actually getting ready to release a large album using those papers. The album is a 9 x 11 !!! it should be released today or tomorrow morning. Got my fingers crossed it will be today sometime. All depends on uploading speed and conversion speeds. Happy Crafting!

Shellie I love this album so much! I’ve been watching your videos for years and you never disappoint! Do you think you might consider doing another tutorial for a box albums but larger? I would really love to do one of these for my grandmother. She’s 94 but she has so many pictures and I’d like her to be able to enjoy one of these beautiful box albums. I have a question about the boarder dies. How can I strengthen them so they stay crisp and not bend when they are so delicate? Yours always look pristine.

Hi Sue. Thank you . I used decorative die plates to create the trim , however, you can just use trim punches to get a nice trim too, or just not have any. Either way, it will come out nice. Happy Crafting

I'm new to making albums. Your albums are absolutely exquisite. I have a couple of questions as a newbie to all this, I hope someone will help me out. 1) These pages are so beautiful but won't it spoil them by putting a load of photos in them? There seems scarcely any room either physically or decoratively for photos? 2) Lots of the mechanisms for photos involve sliding them in and out of pockets or tucking them behind things. Won't the photos get scuffed over time? Thanks anyone for responding. And thanks very much, Shellie for showing how to make these works of art. :)

I stumbled across your channel when this video popped up in my recommendations. I have to say... this is amazing. I have never made an album; I didn't even know this was a thing. That you can come up with these designs with all of the foldout and magnetic elements is astounding to me [traditional Creative Memories scrapbooker over here :)]. I am both intimidated and inspired to make some of these box albums myself to house old photographs that are just laying around. Thank you so much for sharing!! I have to ask... how long did it take you to put this together, including all of the "pre-cutting"?

The time it takes to make one depends on each person's speed and time. I've been making these albums for years so I can get them made quickly if I'm not filming a tutorial or designing one for tutorials. But It all depends on time in my schedule too. Hi Shellie, Can you tell me exactly how heavy the chipboards you use? I know you mentioned medium weight, but the medium weights I have look flimsy than the ones you use on your tutorial. By the way, first time I saw your album in a box... I TOTALLY fell in love! I hope I can come close to any of your creations! Absolutely beautiful! Joyce D its about 1/16th inch thick, maybe a sliver more. Mine aren’t flimsy. If you can order from my store, great, if not and you can get local at your store just remember if your only finding flimsy light weight, then triple them up or even 4-ply them by gluing them together. Not sure if it’s cost effective, but it is an option.

When I tell you that I love both of these albums well I do. Please tell me this can come in a kits that you can buy that would be so nice if that possible. Ms. Shellie, Can you show when you get a chance how you apply the glossy accent where it not so thick? I always have a problem with that application.

Hi Denise. I use an old small paint brush to apply my glossy accents. Be sure to wash your brush when done or you'll ruin it, that's why I use an old brush in case I forget to right away.
