Solution:
Counter twist the horseshoes, pulling slightly down on them so a V is created. Slide the ring into the V then push the bottom ends of the horseshoes through the ring so that the ring slides down and the horseshoes overlap. Then slide the ring off the end. To put the ring back on the horseshoe puzzle, fold the horseshoes so they overlap. Slide the ring down one side to the bottom. Grab the two horseshoes at opposing ends and pull away from each other and up, then twist.

I've know how to solve this for years, but even watching it done slowly still seems like it should be physically impossible lol

Live is full of hacks. This is one of many: Two H atoms share electrons (outer layer*) with an O atom. Only then it becomes a Water~molecule. Important for digestion, very important for most living organism. Now twist one H atom 180 degrees, and release the bond. 🎉Surprise! No magic at all. Just a hack of living organisms 😂

It's pretty easy to get the trick but hard to fully understand it geometrically
