Horse Rehab case study with Jec Ballou

My colleague Amanda Barton of Tilefield Equestrian and I collaborated on a rehab project with her pony, Sue, to address a mild lameness. Here is a video that shows the case study to date. The exercises referenced are from my book 55 Corrective Exercises for Horses. Available here: www.jecballou.com/store

Just curious did you have her tested for PSSM? going lame after light work sounds a lot like exercise intolerance which is a symptom.

Fab work . Some ot my favourite exercise to use. I would have used mw PEMF also, fab healing modality heals what the body needs, nerve, ligament, fascia. Lovely pony.

I found this really interesting, especially being in the UK and seeing that you could offer exercises remotely to do. Having bought your book in April I have been working through some of the exercises to help my TB, for a programme similar to the one mention in the film would I contact you via email?

@@jecballou Jec, I just purchased and received 3 of your books this week. I too will be contacting you for designing a consultation for my Senior quarter horse. He is 22 years old and he greets me at the gate. He still very much wants to get out and do things. I found you via the podcast you did with Warwick. You are so knowledgeable and your passion just shines through. Thank you so much for this work you are doing!

I've got a sweet TWH mare with severe EPM that I'm trying to use these exercises to help. She will/can NOT straddle a pole. When I ask her to turn her hind quarter, sheb just spins her body around without lifting her hind feet at all, especially her left side. She's now on the silver lining herbs so hoping to see some improvement between that and these exercizes

Looks to me like something you could possibly make with a tarp and some 2x4s. I always try to diy before I buy though lol

@@krystaldaniels7940 the Horse Physio equipment is soft, so am looking into using memory foam and covering with vinyl.

My gelding trips over every ground pole. I've tried having his fronts step over and then back over a single pole, and it's pretty sad. -_-
