Today I am Collaborating with a veterinarian to shoe a horse recovering from a heel bulb laceration. For the sake of time I have sped up the whole process. In real time it took me about an hour to make the shoe. If you have any questions let me know in the comments below. Be sure to subscribe for more good videos to come. I've always found it fascinating how a ferrier can take a peice of bar stock and turn it into a horse shoe. You made it look so easy. I think that's why I picked up blacksmithing, being able to mold steel with heat and a hammer. You do amazing work.
Is it just me? This guy sounds way too young to have the talent and skill that he has. Mad props sir!!

Oh bless you,, I once had a gelding who went through a severe version of this. I found him with his hoof hanging off. Very scary! Fortunately we had a decent vet and farrier and he went on for a further 25 years without limping

I think that shoe you made from memory is called a “work of art.” Cheers! ✌🏼

Your craftsmanship is beyond my comprehension. What you do is an ancient and time honored profession that few people have mastered. I truly admire you and the service you provide for these wonderful animals. Bless you and all those of your like.
1:40 ah yes, gotta be kind and gently convince it to stay together, like a healthy marriage. Can't use brute force to keep that couple happy. The flux is like the kids, just extra glue to keep the house together. No idea why I thought this was a fitting analogy. I am not married, I do not do any metal work and I have never had a horse. Still real neat to see though!
Holy forged in fire. That was awesome. Your 1 hell of a blacksmith & a farrier. Nice work. 👍👍

So grateful for farriers who understand corrective and therapeutic needs. Many thanks.
Sometimes i think to myself "hey, i wanna do that" youre living a simple life and you get to be with animals and then i realize if i were to be in his shoes without any prior knowledge i would get kicked by a horse if i touched its hooves
I'm obsessed with this. KZread recommendations finally led me to an interesting channel

But however they look I'm sure a lot of people watching your wonderful vlogs r horse enthusiasts also and it would b a gratifying pleasure to see the horses, ponies or mules you r helping

I've always lived and been raised, taking care of pigs, chickens and such animals. Never had horses though. Just focused on them kinda animals, and vehicles for demos and such. But even though I've never EVER taken care of a horse you've drawn me in with your amazing work and personality. Great work man, and I love the things you're doing helping this animals
I have no clue how I got here, but I’m here to stay. No idea what I’m watching, but this guy’s level of skill and expertise is mesmerizing.
I don’t know why I’m here or how I’m here. But I’m happy I’m here. This man clearly cares a lot about these horses. At least I think he does. It’s just entertaining to watch in a weird way.
thank you for helping that poor baby .you are professional..God bless you.
This is like watching cement being mixed. It is soooo mesmerizing to watch.
I love that you made your own shoes here, blacksmithing has almost always been something that fascinated me as a kid and I always went to places to see someone blacksmithing live
this guy must love his horses. he takes good care of them.
I know literally nothing about Donkeys, horses, or equine in general, but I really enjoy watching how you help these majestic creatures. And so although I don’t understand why or how you do the things you do, I appreciate the sacrifices and effort you’ve put into making these animals’ lives better.
I always end up watching these videos at 2/3 AM because they just absolutely captivate me. Very interesting
You are the best horseshoer I've ever seen. I wish you would have been near where I live years ago when I was still young and broke horses for a living. Watching you make your shoes just shows how good you are. Your excellent at what you do fella.
This guy takes alot of pride in what he's doing...
I found this channel last night and I'm dying for more videos. ADDICTED. I don't own a horse, but this is fascinating.
Wow! I’m glad you and the vet were able to help! Hopefully that horse stays away from wire!
Wow what's a beautiful job you did there. This video made me so happy. It feels nice to make animals feel comfortable and happy.

Amazing talent. People have no idea what skills are required in producing a shoe basically from scratch and with all the amendments for this particular horses injury. Neat work man.👍
Love this! Beautifully done.
Very lovely work. I grew up on a ranch and now a veterinarian technician mainly for large animals. But I love how many think that blacksmithing means being hard and super strong. Yet you have to have a super gentle touch. Haven't met a farrier that didnt have a soft touch with every aspect in life.
Wow!! Great job once again!!!
Wow!!! Great job!!!

thank you for sharing your skills and Knowledge of your craft
Yesterday I watched a prime video called Proper English Christmas which included rebuilding a 150 year old forge and having the workhorse reshoed. Now I'm here amazed you have a forge in the back of a pick up truck!
I knew this was an art but now I realize even more so listening to you explain everything!! Im a vet tech in NH , never worked on large animals though!
Damn your good, 55 years of watching farriers and you’re the best I’ve seen.

Sheldon my hat goes of to you. You are a proper hand in the fire. I worked on making bar shoes for a long time when I was trying to get my Cjf. All I managed to do was mangle up 500 feet of barstock
Best video so far out of all the shoeing vids I've been watching. Really shows your skill, can appreciate the skill a lil more.
