I love the direction the server is going this season, people walking instead of flying. People using different methods of transporting blocks instead of shulkers more normal old fashion. Would love to see train stations

I really love the "non-endgame" feel of this season so far. No elytra, minimal shulkers. It's something you don't really see anymore, and it uses features that get glossed over in the later gameplay :)

I'm really enjoying the slower pace this season, and how Bdubs is showing us a little more of the process behind each episode :) I also love the new cinematic intro and funky transitions, they make the episodes feel extra polished.

Ah yes, season IV (?) nether hub. That one was fun!

The paths are really a game changer for this season. Definitely makes a new feel to the community within hermitcraft and the aesthetic to the land :) can’t wait to see all the shops branched out along the pathway instead of all bundled up in the one spot !

Install a horse roulette. Insert a diamond, get a random horse from the system, and race your random horse against your friends. That'll add some replayability to the game

An interesting way to add obstacles to the course could be soul sand! That way you can benefit jumping (jumping over) and also a little bit of rider challenge to avoid getting slowed down.

@@ldkman. I’m pretty sure that that is a myth. The wiki says nothing about the health and strength value of Llamas being correlated, and I know that Horse health and speed are not correlated. The wiki also says that their health (when breeding) is calculated in the same way as horses

It'd be amazing to make a rent-a-horse system too, with stables available at multiple points across the map! That way people can drop off a diamond, ride a horse from stable A to stable B, and leave it there.

Well it's been a good season! But now that Bdubs and Etho are building an arena we know the end is in sight

During that race I could just picture the horses saying “on your left”

What you're trying to make for the horses is basically a steeplechase; a horse obstacle course

Bdubs you may have already thought of this but I think the “gas” part of the stations should be a subscription service. Hermits pay a weekly/monthly or maybe a 1 time fee for a “gas pass” to use the speed potions etc. That way they don’t have to stop and pay every time they want extra speed!

LOL! My thoughts exactly. Knowing that Ethos horse is slower then Bdubs and Tango’s (Mus’tango’s) are faster then Lulu is 😝

Idea for Mario Kart Horse track: When there is a hairpin turn where paths going opposite directions are parallel, you could add a wall that decreases in block height as it gets closer to the hairpin turn, this will mean that higher jumping horses (which are usually slower than speed horses) have the option to jump over the wall earlier than the lower jumping horses!

Definitely having soul sand line the outside of the track is a good idea, it makes turning more competitive and because collision boxes are back you can space out other people and force them to either slow down or get stuck in the sand!

I love how your pathing and horse business is helping shape the season and the island so much! I follow most of the hermits but you've become my most favorite, so it warms my heart. And as someone who just came from rewatching your old video to tide me over til the next hermitcraft, super excited to see you build a horse race course with Etho again!

You could also add an underground bit that cut through some "geodes" and lush cave, or maybe an underwater track that's made out of light gray glass!

my favorite part of it is that they'll mention each other in completely unrelated circumstances. Like, in his single player series, Etho mentioned that one of his builds was inspired by BDubs and he talked for a moment about how he thought that BDubs was very talented. And, on the flip side, during Hermitcraft 7 BDubs mentioned Etho a few times while he did redstone; he just talked about how he was really inspired by Etho and his talent with it.

Idea for race: Give them already loaded crossbows with some potion arrows they can use to either slow the opponent down or to shoot target blocks for shortcuts? They wouldn't have to take the time to charge a bow and they would have limited amount of tries. If this is even possible

You can maybe make little spaces for "pit stops" where the runners can heal their horses, this way the horses with more health can run longer. This can add another twist to the race.

Bdubs: testing horses speeds and jumps Tango and Impulse: let’s make flying horses

To make the track more fair for horses that cant jump, you can make obstacles of water holes instead of walls

You and etho should make like a “spin the wheel” with different types of prices. Some of the prices could be, fast horse, high jump horse, saddle, horse armor and etc.

Bdubs you could use wolves to scare the llamas out of their pens, and have them run down the path. Etho used wolves like that, to control where llamas go, in his singleplayer in Sandy City.

Making it so the No Wings Clubs members' counters reset whenever an elytra enters their inventory is gonna cause alot of shinanagins on the server

I believe it only resets when they wear the elytra

i believe it is only the case when they equip. I jsut think etho was trying to be extra careful

Doesn't mean that they can't be tricked into wearing them, like a dispenser.

it actually resets when you take flight, mumbo showed it in his video

I am so excited about the whole horse riding theme that Bdubs and Etho are working on! And I really really wish they will use "sticks" as the official measurement unit for horse speed...it'll be so funny TwT

God something is so satisfying about hermitcraft starting again and watching it develop

10:25 I love the fact that the horse and player heads are synced up, so it looks like Etho and The horse are both in agreement

I absolutely love the down to earth modes of transport that season 8 is reminding us of

I'm pretty sure Zedaph's base wasn't loaded when he slept, so powdered snow would not have been collecting anyway

I love the idea of custom road signs that all the hermits make to their places! Imagine a mini boatem pole or something symbolizing it to mark that you are on your way there! It'd be like the "Welcome to *specific state*" signs in America that are all different!

I can tell the budget for this episode was in the millions. Also i feel like he does videos he thinks his daughter would love. It feels so warm. It feels like he is talking to her in the videos in a way. Anyone else get this vibe?
