Tactical Tickle!

Mobs like chickens have a tendency to choose a specific direction (south I think) over others. Tango found this out when all the Ravagers in Decked Out kept ending up in one corner despite wandering randomly. I think that direction is Keralis's pressure plate.

I just finished watching DocM's video and he talks about the strange tendency for passive mobs to all gather in one corner. He demonstrates by showing all the fish in his diamond mine lake. Also my Mooshrooms are always jammed up at the North side of the field. South side is completely vacant. If the tendency is limited to N/S then Bdub's can compensate by simply placing the contraption to face E/W. The best way to compensate for this and the center inequality would be for all the chickens to be in independent chambers.

That pure unbridled rage at seeing his own system give Keralis 3 stacks and 22 diamonds

The hermits are so lucky that Bdubs can share his perfect redstone with them. As we all know, Bdubs taught Mumbo everything he knows.

But as he doesn't upload as much I started celebrating each of his episodes and made up some sort of ritual to make them even more special.

Hey bdubs to improve your perfect redstone you need to add a hopper under keralis' chest leading into a chest for gem. The gem hopper should be on a circuit that activates every 4th deposit into keralis' chest. That might be a good redstone quiz for tango or etho. 😂

@@Hiznogood the original deal from the first episodes is she gets 1% of bigeye profits (which they agreed would come from keralis due to him giving back the diamonds), then there is the more advanced 25% of keralis' profits from the gas station near her base.

BDoubleO and VintageBeef were the original Minecraft redstoners. Some even say they convinced Notch to add it to the game. They've given their protoges like Etho and Mumbo, their time in the limelight. It's only fair that they finally get their chance to show us what they can do, and I'm glad Bdubs is taking it

The fact “redstone with bdubs” was supposed to originally be a tutorial and now it’s just bdubs learning redstone is Hysterical

The secret to a good shop is building it early in the season, before everyone becomes self-sufficient enough to farm everything themselves

Regarding the diamond distribution, the middle pressure plate will be pressed the least due to the movement lengths of the chickens and the fact that the ends have stopping power that the middle does not. But it makes sense for the system creator to have control over advantage/disadvantage like that. What happens on episode 65? Can only hold 64 clocks in a hand.

I don't understand. Wouldn't the middle one be presses the most? Because every chicken going from one corner the the other would have to path over it. And if they path from mid to corner they dont go over the other corner. Also they don't have stopping power cause chickens don't try to path outside the 3x1. Please elaborate not sure if I'm misunderstanding things

@@cptfairgraves9120 The middle pressure plate might be pressed the most, but the chickens will spend the least amount of time on the middle pressure plate. This is because the chickens on the ends can only pathfind in one direction, whereas the chicken in the middle can pathfind in two directions. So the chicken in the middle will move more frequently. Disclaimer I'm not 100% sure this is how the game's pathfinding works but I would assume so.

Big Eyes have almost everything they need to sell redstone components. Tango's got the iron for hoppers covered, Keralis has the villagers for redstone and bows for dispensers, you've got the cobble generator, and slime for sticky pistons is basically free at Cub's casino. But you need quartz for observers and comparators. Fix that and you can move a ton of valuable merchandise in addition to profiting off your labor.

The shopping district you guys are putting together is probably one of my favorite builds on Hermitcraft EVER. Just imagining it all filled up... also, just a personal hope: would love to see that WHOLE water area just FULL of boats. Like a proper Harbor. Small, personal sized ships, en masse. Would look soo cool.

I feel like you should add one more chicken to the system, would even out distribution slightly. You should also see if you can implement a system the puts 1 out of every 4 of Keralis’s diamonds gets put in a separate chest for gem.

Bedrock has an amazing bug/feature that Speed Potions are passed onto the offspring of horses! You can have a horse that travels over 60 blocks a second in about 7-8 generations.

I just love how he spawns an endermite that falls in the water and cuts to another scene where he has the endermite head in his inventory 🤣

The redstone Service shop. "Because no shop offering redstone contraptions has ever failed in the history of Hermitcraft. Ever."

Watching bdubs do Redstone either makes me want to pull my hair, laugh or marvel. But today I did all three. Chicken powered diamond distributor, genius! 😳😂

If my theory is correct Tango will always get the least diamonds. You might every time have to randomise which station someone goes on, or add more chickens will help it a bit but switching it up would be more fair

That bay is just missing a HUGE amount of pirate sail ships and a giant one where the lighthouse / tree cliff could act as a ramp loading zone / crane spot 🤷🏽‍♂️

You should further divide Keralis’s diamonds up to account for Gem’s cut! That’s obviously why the chickens gave him more. They were taking her into account.

Oh, of COURSE the best redstoner on the server would make a shop, I’m surprised he didn’t do it sooner!

From "Who's this dude building a diorite castle?" to my favorite Hermit.

When you told us you were designing a way to split the diamonds with redstone, I was impressed by your prowess. Evenly distributing quantities that don't actually split evenly is hard. Then I saw that you were going to great lengths to NOT split evenly and I lost it. It's perfect!

This is a great idea because it was getting embarrassing how much better at redstone bdubs is than everyone else so now maybe they can get closer to his level of perfectness

Chicken Randomizer Concerns 1. Currently design leaves the center with lower odds. 2. Mobs do not wander entirely random. There is a strange tendency for Mobs to clump in one direction or corner. See DocM's current video for proof. Solution: Place each chicken in separate matching pods, then all chances are completely equalized. Hope this helps. :) At first I didn't pay Bdubs much attention when it came to redstone but he has impressed me lately and has my full attention now. Always love the videos. :)

I love how they're so indecisive and nice they rely on 2 chickens to make the tough choices.

Tango will get much more diamonds than others. The preesure plate in the middle has the biggest space on which it is active. Preesure plates should be separated one block from each other and outer plates should have one block free on each side. This should minimalise this inequality but still won't be perfect (Free block - Plate - Free block - Plate - Free block - Plate - Free block) Edit: Or give each dropper one plate, one free space and one chicken. This should be perfect solution

The feeling is is extraordinary when one of your favourite youtuber uploads. For me it's the legend of minecraft builders, bdubs!

Statistically , if the chickens are truly random, after enough diamonds are put through the system the final distribution will be identical. Never change bdubs.

Wonderful idea for the shop, all the cute moving things but also not making them move all the time because of lag! Also, can't wait to find out what that thing behind Keralis' house is. Looked like a giant eyeball/egg, possibly made of warped and crimson wart blocks and weeping vines, but we'll have to wait and see.
