Yes now that all these have come out i'm kind of disappointed that this series wasn't consistent

I loved Puppet Master 3 so much as a kid that I started to write a screenplay about them being bought at a yard sale by an abused housewife and them saving her and her unborn kids but I never finished it. I still even have the Torch and Jester action figures 🤦🏽‍♀️

@@Goddessvenom I wish I could find the old notebook that wrote the script in. I lost it somewhere at my parents house. I remember my idea was to get get survivors from both franchises and Freddy & Jason are going on rampage through the us. The group of survivors is going after them.

"The Invisible Man shows up..." I laughed so freaking hard I literally questioned myself why it was that funny to me.

Realizing this beloved series of movies taught me the fear of being chased at night while going to the bathroom. I would reach the bed and quickly bring my feet up expecting to dodge something😳

yeah, i love when there's comics to add to a franchise, and the puppet master comics are damn cool, but i made it part of my "rules" to not use book, comic, or video game spinoffs, and just stick with what's stating in the film entries, although i'll use tv appearances if they're considered a part of the series.

Its just my headcanon but they could have made it so somehow the bad guy from the first movie transferred his essence or something to toulons body or something and that's why toulon was evil in pm2

The conflicting dates of the modern sequels to the ww2 era films. I was pretty close on the order but totally forgot the scifi channel crossover demonic toys one.

IMO pm vs dt is canon only with 1-3. why i think this is 1. it was written by the guy who wrote pm3 as a pm4, but they went with the Sutekh story 2. the reason it is toulon blood and not sutekh's spell is because it was written prior to pm4 3. the reason tunneler and leech aren't in it is they died in 2 4. Torch was on the poster & script & he was the one who burnt down the lab not six-shooter 5. Robert Toulon says about the time the puppets fought nazis in WW2 a pm3 reference So if people say its not canon and not official, punch them very hard in the face. it is canon with 1-3. Charles Band produced it. Ted (Subspecies) directed it, and Jeff & Chris (Retro PM) did the effects and C Courtney (writer of pm3/trancers 3) wrote it. The only reason CB doesnt count it as official is he dont get paid by dvd sales. it is canon with 1-3 only.

Demonic Toys wasn't a Sci-fi channel cross over... I only know that because they were selling it on VHS... nearly 15 years before Sci-fi Channel even existed. I used to own the entire series on VHS because Puppetmaster is one of my favorite series...

Protector Drone, Tunneler is in part 4. Torch and Leech Woman aren't in part 4 though. Torch is in the 5th one though, which is basically the same as part 4.

I'm a man who likes bad movies but holy cow I can't believe you put yourself through all those movies trying to make sense of that. Thanks for your noble sacrifice.

+Anthony Petruccione - Indeed, my thanks to him as well. This is by far the worst timeline story of a franchise. It show that the people involved making the franchise did not do their research. Just throw everything into the blender and winged it. I still want my sequel from, "PM II" damn it! Whatever happened to Camille and her sadistic plan about the children? Tragic, it would have been an interesting story.

Sofang go on Amazon and you'll see there is a graphic novel called Puppet Master: The Wooden Boy that continues the Camille story, they just didn't put it on film unfortunately.

if i was to rank them then: 1. Toulon's Revenge 2. 2 3. 1 4. 4 5. The Fnal Chapter 6. Curse 7. Retro 8. Axis of Evil 9. Axis Rising 10. VS 11. Axis Termination 12. Legacy and I hope Littlest Reich is high on the list!

If you have the chance, I suggest reading the comics by Action Lab. Not sure if Charles Band considers them canon, but they do the series justice by tying things together and explaining certain things (such as why Toulon was evil in II and where Torch came from, implications of why Six Shooter is sometimes absent, and other stuff)

Loved the Puppet Master films since I was young (well, the first 5), but didn't know Tunneler's name for years, so I knew him as Drill Sergeant, which I prefer. :P

And then the new one from this year Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich

I was always scared of these when I was growing up, although I don’t think I ever fully watched any of them.

i have no idea why, but this dumb series of movies has a special place in my heart.

Alright for those of you who have never heard of or have never seen the puppet master series I definitely recommend you to watch every single one of them it is a great great series series it is by the full moon corporation which is not around anymore but they had made some of the best horror movies around and puppet master is 1 of the greatest if you've never seen it then year definitely made to see it I know it's an older movie but I still think it's just highly ranked and recommended I gave it a 13 out of 13 skulls everything about it is great you've just fallen in love with these Poppets

I still remember renting every one of the Puppet Master movies when they first started coming out to rent. I love 1-5 but the rest just weren't the same. My only gripe has been I wished they would have stuck with the Stop Motion Animation. That to me is what made me love it to begin with. My favorite scene in the first movie is where the lady see's Blade for the first time and just how they animated him just had me at "man that was really cool." I have been a fan of stop motion animation since Wallace and Gromit but I still want to see Axis Rising and Axis Termination. But has anyone seen Axis Termination trailer? There are parts where they have people on either a green screen or blue screen in Blade and Tunneler costumes special effects to make them look small running around. Its too silly and just dumb effects. I know that they are B type movies but they look shitty. Oh well I'll still give it a look.

The revived Toulon doesn’t have his soul. This is why he doesn’t care about Leech Woman’s destruction.

In the curse of the puppet master, they didn't kill him for no reason. His failed puppet was a failed attempt to fuse a boy and a doll together. If you watch the movie, they talk about a guy before tank that aparently "left". The puppets are angry with him for not only abusing and failing to create life, but also destroying one of there fellow puppets.

I cant believe I watched this whole thing.

Man you put some time on your stuff I get a kick out of it... and I am really glad I never got into those movies haha

It's called the Castle Green and you're right it is in Pasadena California. Bodega Bay Inn is just the name they gave it for the Puppet Master films. The second film was filmed in a totally different hotel that kind of resembles the Castle Green hotel that they filmed the first movie in.

I heard a thirteen film is in production to be added to the franchise titled, "PM: The Littlest Reich" (set in a parallel universe) scheduled for release around 2018. I enjoyed the first three films (my favorite puppet is the Tunneler) then after that I lost interest in franchise.

I liked the Puppetmaster movies... but I might just be weird... or bias... because most of them came out when I was a kid and I really liked them. By the way... the puppets turned on the Doctor in the Curse of the Puppetmaster because he killed Tank who took better care of them than anyone and was even making more of them... something they approved of and he was in love with the Doctor's daughter... who love him back so by killing Tank the Doctor psychologically abused and maybe even broke his own daughter... something they didn't approve of because she cared for them just as much if not more than Tank did. So they didn't killed him for no reason. It was a revenge thing. Also... Retro Puppetmaster Aundre Toulon looked more like... Lestat from Interview with the Vampire. And they're not "action figures" they're "models" there is a difference.

In Puppet Paster 4 they were originally going to have the puppets battle the Demonic Toys instead of the totems. But for some reason that idea was scrapped and instead we got that crappy Syfy channel crossover. If only they could also work in the Blood Dolls then it would be a party.

i never understood where shreddar khan and gengie name came from, they were never said in the movies and were added on wiki by fans, though Kahn actually became his official name in the new comics

I grew up on the 2nd one. Didnt see the reat until I was like a preteen. So bummed when I found out they didnt use the set up from the end of 2

The way I rationalize the difference between Toulon in 2 and 3 is that he's been dead for a while so his brain is not functioning correctly. Therefore a personality change.

Loved the series. Yes it made no sense...lol.. but it was still fun.

You did a pretty good job, but you glazed over PM4 ignoring its continuity with PM3 and its lack of continuity with PM2. You say PM4 is set in "modern day", and place it upon its release year, but I think the movie was originally intended to take place before PM1, showing how the puppets were retrieved and reanimated 50-something years after Toulon's death. The timeline gets more messed up afterwards with Curse, but if we look at the originally intended 5 movies, I think the timeline is PM2flashback - PM3 - PM1prologue - PM4 - PM5 - PM1 - PM2. The only thing wrong is the presence of Torch in PM4 and PM5, while he should have been built in PM2, but on the other hand the alternative placement has Six-Shooter appearing out of nowhere and most importantly it lacks any continuity between PM2 and PM4. I think this alternate timeline can still work with the other sequels, but we need to work around some plot details from PM Legacy. However I liked very much that you still talked about Vs Demonic Toys, rather than just disregarding it because supposedly noncanon.

I feel like this just turned into some sort of fanfiction where they just forgot what happened but took the bits and pieces and made something out of it😂hence the messed up timelines

Will you be doing the Subspecies movies? If I remember correctly all four films are supposed to take place back to back.

The answer is in the movie itself: 'My heart is not attuned to the merriments of children." Meaning they only revived his physical being, not his heart.

Plus Me and Spencer get 2 be the new puppet masters. Cause he made me Full Sized Wooden Puppets, Now that we got them we can go 2 The home 4 the Mentally unstable tots and Teens.

I always considered Curse,Retro,and the Axis trilogy to be in their own continuity,and legacy to be not canon also if you want to find out why their are such time discrepancy’s the comics explain it (yes I know they weren’t around at the time of the majority of the series creation but if in universe you want to make sense of it the comics are their)

I feel part 2 comes after part 4 and 5. It makes no sense for Andre to help the puppets after the puppets killed him at the end of part 2

Number 2 should just be the 1st 1, and then there's Curse of; Um....I liked it, but then the ending gets confusing.

I haven't watched the Axis Trilogy yet or Littlest Reich, but part 3 was my favorite of the series... versus Demonic Toys was the worst.... Curse, Retro, and Legacy were pretty painful to sit through as well.

You mentioned doing Wishmaster at some point, is that next on the docket? Do you have a list of timelines that you're going to tackle? I assume that you're going to eventually tackle the more famous series like Hellraiser, Children of the Corn, Amityville Horror, etc. However, I think it would be more interesting, to me at least, if you tackled those weird series where the first movie is very acclaimed and the sequels are all shameless cash-grabs. For example, Psycho has a lot of really stupid sequels, same with Poltergeist, The Exorcist and maybe, to a lesser extent, The Omen and The Prophecy. You did this with Jaws, and I thought it was fascinating. Any chance of you doing The Fly for the next Mini-Timeline? Fly II is seriously bizarre.

one of the first things i did when i started the channel was make a master list of franchises that i wanted to cover. most of the ones you mentioned are on the list. in fact, amityville was supposed to be out 2 weeks ago, but i wanted to time it up to the release of the new movie, and that got bumped, so i pushed back the video. i do also love the series where it starts out really respectable, and then just spirals out of control in the sequels. i will also let you know that one of the franchises you mentioned in your second paragraph will be my very next video. oh, i actually didn't have the fly on my list, but you can bet it's on there now. the only question now is to just cover the modern versions, or do the whole franchise and include the original and son of fly?

In the second one, someone mentions Toulon dying in 1941, so the timeline had already been retconned as per the second movie.

Ive only seen up to 11 but it would be interesting if they connect those to pm1. Have danny and his girlfriend by the grandparents of megan Gallagher

Actually there was a good reason and revenge of the puppet master why the public's turn on their keeper he deliberately kill someone ahead help one of their own out so not surprisingly they did not take that well
