I had a close Iraqi friend who converted from shiism to salafiyya at the age of 15. She taught people tawheed through her Facebook groups and women in person until her death. I wish I had her fb pages to share. May Allah guide the ignorant among them to the right path. May Allah have mercy on our dead and guide our families to the right path.

@salafihistoryguy No problem sharing personal experiences, especially if it is accumulated by many. However, this experience is more of a reflection of the regime than a critique of Shia'ism and I'm no fan of the latter.

People need to see the history of the shii movement to realise it's a throwback to jahiliyya. List of extinct Shia sects: Bazighiyya- who believed that Ja'far al-Sadiq was God. Dhammiyya- who believed that Ali was God and Muhammad was his appointed Messenger and Prophet. Ghurabiyya- who believed the angel Gabriel was mistaken. Hurufiyya- who believed God is incarnated in every atom, reminiscent of the Alevi-Bektashism. Nuqtavi- who believed in a cyclical view of time, reminiscent of the Isma'ili Shia. Kaysanites- who believed in the Imamate of Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah after the death of Husayn Ibn 'Ali Ibn abu Talib. Bayaniyya- the followers of Bayān al-Nahdi, who believed that Abu Hashim was a prophet and would return to rule the world as Mahdi. Bayān claimed prophethood for himself after the demise of Abu Hashim, as well.[1]: 83  Harbiyya- the followers of ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Harb ibn al-Kindi, who initially taught antinomianism then joined Ibn Mu'awiya's party and later expressed many extremist views about him. Furthermore, Ibn al-Harb introduced some fundamental doctrines including metempsychosis, cyclical history of eras and aeons into the radical branch of Shi'ism.[2]: 63  The group claimed that Abu Hashim designated Ibn Mu'awiya as his successor Imam of Hashimiyya. Riyahiyya- Harbiyya and pro-Abbasid Hashimiyya disputed over Abu Hashim's will about the imamate and eventually the disputed parties agreed upon the arbitration of their respected leader Abu Riyah, who decided that the imamate should remain in Abbasids. The most of the followers of Harbiyya, who had previously recognized Ibn Mu'awiya as their imam, seceded and joined to the Abbasid party and they had been called Riyahiyya. Those who stayed in Harbiyya and continued to recognize the imamete of Ibn Mu'awiya subsequently called as Janahiyya. Janahiyya- the followers of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Mu'awiya ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ja'far, who was a descendant of Ja'far ibn Abi Talib known as Dhu'l-Janahayn, believed incarnation of God in a succession of Prophets and imams passing eventually through Ibn al-hanafiya and Abu Hashim to Ibn Mu'awiya; transmigration of the souls; and the allegorical interpretation of the Quran.[3]: 51  Mughiriyya- who were influenced by Mandean and Manichean doctrines and were founded by the first Shi'i gnostic al-Mughira, who claimed that God is a man of light with a crown of light on his head resembling Mandean doctrine of deity referred to as "king of light". Al-Mughira further added that God has limbs corresponding to the letters of Arabic alphabet reminiscent of the teaching of Marcus the Gnostic: 72  Rawendis- who believed in the transmigration of souls. They asserted that the spirit that was in Jesus was in Ali, and the spirit of Adam was in Othman ibn Nahik. Soldiers of Heaven- who believed that their former leader Dia Abdul Zahra Kadim (died 2007 CE) was the Mahdi and reincarnation of Ali ibn Abi Talib. Ya’furiyya- who believed in reincarnation and that a man named Mu’ammar al-Kufi was their Lord.

This documentary was spot on. Brilliantly presented. This is why the people of the Sunnah need to do more work in Latin America and counter the brainwashing done by the state of Iran. The part regarding “weeding out the believers” and letting the rest go, to my understanding it’s clear what these guys want to do. Brainwash them to the point they join their cult or put them off Islam so badly that they don’t even think about it positively anymore. I.e. never even consider to be Sunni as well. These Rafidha would rather they join Christianity or become Atheist than a real Sunni Muslim. Their whole purpose is being against Sunnis, that is it. You walk around the UK and US and you can see the hatred for Muslims in the eyes of the Iranian migrants who left Shiaism or Iran. They paint the whole of Islam with the same brush. I would think that the issue is probably mostly coming down to a lot of cultural and social differences that many people who go to the seminaries are not fully expecting, it’s a very different approach academically and otherwise, and if you’re not familiar with that and not prepared for it it can be a pretty big shock. Also, it’s important to note that many people in the seminary do not necessarily live on campus just like with universities here in the west there are definitely options for people who are going to be there more long-term to live in their own apartments and come and go like a commuter student, there are females who study and then go home to their husbands or families who live nearby, and so that changes your experience a lot.

This is a great documentary, but is that an image of Rasulullah at 24:08 ?

Sometimes i believe converts early exposure to shiism is good it backfires more often.

A mix of zoroastrian, and iranian legends cloaked with islam . To us Ahlus sunnah, there's no difference between a rafidhi shia and a christian.

If any shii or one considering it is reading this comment, please read Ayah159 in Al-Anaam, (6:159). The word شيعة has a technical meaning, it is not a name, it means faction, and in that verse that same word is used in a context relevant to ours.

Hadith in which Rasulullah (s) praised Ali and his Shi'a can be found in many classical Ahl'ul Sunnah texts, and have even been recorded by Ulema like Ibn Hajar al Makki in their books written against the Shi'a. For the sake of brevity we will cite just a handful of traditions to prove our point. It is in praise of the Shi'a of Ali that Allah (swt) sent down the following revelation: "Those who believe and do righteous deeds are the best of the creatures. Their reward from their Lord shall be everlasting gardens, below which flow rivers, they will abide there forever. Well pleased is God with them and they are well pleased with Him" (Qur'an 98:7)". Muhammad bin Ali narrates in Tafsir ibne Jarir, Volume 33 page 146 (Cairo edition) that the Prophet (s) said "The best of creations are you Ali and your Shi'as." Jalaladin Suyuti, (849 - 911 AH) is one of the highest ranked Sunni scholars of all time. In his commentary of this verse, he records through 3 asnad (chains) of narrators, that the Prophet (s) told his companions that the verse referred to Ali and his Shi'a: "I swear by the one who controls my life that this man (Ali) and his Shi'a shall secure deliverance on the day of resurrection". (Tafseer Durre Manthur Volume 6 page 379 (Cairo edition) The 3 Sahaba who narrated this hadith are (1) Ali (as) himself (2) Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari (ra) (3) Abdullah ibne Abbas (ra). The majority school acknowledges them as truthful narrators of hadith. Had this been in a Shi'a book, you would have deemed it a forgery, but it's presence in your has really confused your Ulema. There are no hadith in which the Prophet (s) guaranteed paradise for a specific Sahaba and his followers, with the sole exception of Ali (as) and his Shi'a. Other Sunni scholars have also recorded this hadith from Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari in their commentaries of the above verse. [Tafsir Fatha ul bayan Volume 10 page 333 (Egypt edition) & Tafsir Fatha ul Qadir, Volume 5 page 477] Hadhrath Abdullah ibne Abbas narrates "that when this verse descended the Prophet (s) said, 'Ali you and your Shi'a will be joyful on the Day of Judgement" (Tafseer Durre Manthur Volume 6 page 379 (Cairo edition) Ahmad ibn Hajr al Makki quotes from Imam Dar Qatany in his al Sawaiqh al Muhrriqa page 159 (Cairo edition) "O Abul Hasan, you and you Shi'a will attain paradise". Ibn Hajr al Makki in his anti Shia book, Sawaiqh al Muhriqa, records this tradition from Imam Tabarani: "O Ali four people will enter heaven first of all. Me, You, Hasan, and Hussain, your descendants will follow us and our wives will follow our descendants and our Shi'a will be to the left and right of us". Hadhrath Ali narrates in Tafsir Durre Mansur, Volume 6 page 379 (Cairo edition) that Rasulullah (s) said to him: "Have you not heard this verse "Their reward from their Lord shall be everlasting gardens, below which flow rivers, they will abide there forever"? This verse refers to you and you Shi'a, I promise you that I will be meet you at the Fountain of Kawthur". The classical Shafii scholar al Maghazli records a tradition from Anas bin Malik that he heard the Prophet (s) say: "Seventy thousand people will go to heaven without questions, the Prophet then turned to Ali and said 'they will be from among your Shi'a and you will be their Imam" Manaqib Ali al Murtaza, page 184 by al Maghazli al Shafii
