Fun fact: Coptic hieroglyphics were way more than letters. Each of them had special meaning and in written state they worked as spells. Every single letter was prescribed with certain action as ancient Egyptians were in higher state of mind, always self-aware of what they said. If you understand platonic concepts you would understand what I'm trying to stay.

Probably because it conflicts with the Abrahamic religions which came afterwards. The kids with critical thinking abilities would realize that religion is/was created by humans to control the masses
