Hard to believe they got up and came out for the restart... Different class Speedway riders, I'm convinced they are made out of old Tour de France riders... A pro footballer gets a slight clip from another players hand and he's on the pitch for 10 weeks rolling around in agony

This comparison will never not be dumb. In this sport here you gain nothing from falling on the ground. In football you get rewarded for theatrics with free kicks and getting opponents send off. That's why it's happening. Has literally nothing to do with actual physical strength.

But the level of difficulty involved was extreme and the bloke deserves some recognition for athleticism, originality and skullduggery. So, bravo number 10!!! Bravo to you!!! Oh yeah, and well done to number 2 also, you done okay I suppose.....even if you did bung it on a bit to try and make number 10 look bad.

Never could figure out how anybody thought it was a good idea to put a concrete stairway down the outside wall to the track. It was a pretty gory wreck. To put it bluntly, the poor guy popped like a zit. There wasn't a thing he could do about it after the crash started, except ducking his head down. At least it was quick. RIP. @@RaprapDK So I guess that's it then. They can maintain higher speed through the curves because they're less tight and pay the greater distance penalty but they then carry that extra speed into the straights which is the same distance for both inside and outside riders. Thanks!

The shale gets thrown out wide so technically there is more grip. Also the "More you cross up" the slower you go so "Out Wide" quite often is quicker. Evidently it wasn't too slick on the inside run or the 3rd rider had the wrong gearing on.

You can keep it wide open on the outside slingshotting around while the bottom has to feather the throttle. It also depends on track condition: you have to ride where the grip is which shifts as the night progresses.
