This song starts off like a typical Horrible Histories song then rips at your heartstrings at the end.

That last verse was so heart gutting. "Then Albert died which left just me, Just V...no A, no A..just V, Oh how I mourned my special pal, I loved you Vic, I loved you.... Al," Just hits you right in the gut 😭😭

Usually Horrible Histories songs are supposed to be funny but I found this one beautiful, wholesome and sad. The whole country hated Albert but they didn't care, they just loved each other. Albert left Victoria way too early and she mourned his death until hers decades later. Always one of my favorite HH songs

Agreed, thats a couple that never left the honeymoon phase.

I see this as showing that whoever you are you are not immune from loosing your dearest love and having to go on for half your life without them

I love this song. It reminds me of my John. Loving him so much despite our arguments (and Victoria and Albert argued too) and then the horrible emptiness when the one you love isn't there any more... Horrible Histories expresses it perfectly. X

I want to be Martha Howe-Douglas when (if) I grow up! She is just THE BEST! She keeps up with all of these guys - brilliantly!!!

She is brilliant and no matter what part she plays, she is brilliant, no matter which of the boys she is working with...she is great with Jim, but she has great chemistry with Larry too. She is a match for Ben when it comes to voices too. She has a big love for the boys and she is flawless in Ghosts. Her voice is gorgeous too, especially with Jim or Mat.

This should not be this sad. why am I so sad?
