George III was actually the grandson of George II, his father was George II's first son, Frederick the Prince of Wales, however he died in 1751, 9 years before his father, meaning his son became the heir to the throne. In fact George II outlived all but one of his four children, Princess Anne died 8 years after her brother, and Louise died in the same year as Frederick at the age of only 27. Interesting to note also that George III was Frederick's second born, he had an older sister called Augusta who obviously became the third in line as soon as the future king was born (and second once their father had passed away from respiratory problems). Oh, and it was George II who died on the toilet, which HH amended for the Proms performance =) it wasn't the diarrhoea that killed him though, it was a ruptured right ventricle in his heart caused by an aortic aneurism.

+Battered Tortoise - Interesting how I schooled you and in response you changed your comment ;-) and I don't, as you say, "love to correct people", I'd simply read up on the history of the Georgian era and had noticed there were several historical inaccuracies present in this song. Maybe you should do some reading once in a while, you might learn something.

Well thank you for that pleasant advice but I already read, just not about this topic and to be honest I have no desire to be a History guru but I respect that you obviously have a strong feeling about getting things just the way they 'should be'. I understand that seeing incorrect information on a topic you hold dear must be frustrating and it is only right that you choose to tell everyone that it is wrong. ;)

Amazing it was their first episode and first song together and the magic is already there. The chemistry is immediate and 12 years later, they are still a team...with Larry and Martha.. They establish that Ben and Mat are the gorgeous and sexy, Simon is funny, tall and bonkers, and Jim has a big voice and is a great actor.

We watched this in class today so i decided to watch it again at home lol

George II made a mistake, and said George I died of Diorehha instead of him, and George I said I gorged on fruit then died on the loo, instead of George II
