HORIZON zero dawn was the first game I've ever played on PS4 and the only game I play on PS5 is horizon Forbidden West

lucky you. Zero Dawn was the first game I bought when I got my PS4. It's an experience I'll always remember fondly

HZD was my first plat too 😄 but man, the difference is striking and I thought it was pretty on the ps4 when it first released. Having played HFW so much shows me just how much the tech has grown

I mean it still is pretty, you can easily tell that it is a “modern” game, the same time difference between zero dawn and forbiden west as zero dawn and fallout new vegas

@NotHarande HFW is a great game, visually it's one of a kind. The gameplay is different than the original. Zero Dawn has more of an arcade style to the combat. I don't want to spoil it for you. Both games are top tier but different.

I’m glad I platinum this game I just need to do the ng+ trophies I’ve done the dlc trophies already and then after that I may play the game again and then off to horizon forbidden west to platinum(:

Platinum this during Covid I was furloughed for 2 months. Then I started getting $3,600 deposited in my checking account every month. 😂 I miss covid😢

@shfd3832 My job signed me up for unemployment. During covid unemployment was $900 a week.

Hardest part of the platinum in Forbidden West is having to listen to Aloy talk to herself for 50hrs. I only made it 4 hrs and then after an extra hour of yelling for her to shutup i gave up and deleted it. Zero Dawn was not as bad so i got the platinum for that one.

@NotHarande the game is definitely good. Just to much talking. Literally, every minute or so Aloy will say something like. Maybe I should use my scanner, or maybe there's something over there, or I should check this or check that. It gave me anxiety like a mosquito buzzing around your ear at night.

It's evident why Aloy talks to herself, having lived in isolation for so long, she didn't have many people to talk to daily. I don't get annoyed hearing her voice, instead, I find it immersive.

Oh man to just play game to only get the trophy is complete insanity. It kind of reminds me of an old friend of mine Gawdly. He played ESO, it’s a mmmo so it’s massive and new content is always being added. He strived to get every single achievement in the game. ESO achievements are similar to PlayStation trophies, it took him years to complete it, anyways he has passed on, he had a wife and kids, he died too young. Anyways my thoughts on PlayStation trophies or eso achievements is that they are not real achievements. Real achievements can only be done irl. Because when you turn off the game it doesn’t factor in your real life, therefore video game trophies/achievements aren’t real. You shouldn’t put so much effort into achieving something fake, I always told people if Gawdly put that effort into a real achievement irl he would be unstoppable. Now he’s dead and he could never do it. It’s really tragic. Strive for real life achievements people.

Bro, your friend did something he loved doing. I'm sure he achieved happiness doing it, and that's the most important "IRL achievement" there is.
