Oh I remember this one, it’s the one and only rap track I knew every word by heart up until Ren. It was fun to see I still know all the words after so many years although I still sound just as bad as back then 😂 I see I’m a yr late to the party but when I saw this I just had to watch it and when I still remembered the full track I had to share lol 🤷‍♀️

Hopsin has a song about that topic. It's either called "Good girls" or "good guys get left behind" , something like that. "Why do good girls go for bad guys and the good guys get left behind."

Amen to what you said around 19 minutes. I had my ex wife cheat on me with 2 guys cuz she had a misarrange and blamed it on me. She was baby hungry and wouldn't listen to doctors cuz they told her she had a 5% chance of having a baby. This doubles back to what you said early about the Romeo part (I think). I made 5x what she made lol. I love how Hopsin is real.

i started smokeing weed at a very young age, 9 was my first experience, 12 was when id say i started full blown smokein like every weekend, then at 14 it was every day. lookin back id say, it didnt affect my brain, (make me dumb) but it changed my focus, so if i could go back i would have waited till i was atleast 18-20 preferable 22-24.

They call it a starter drug. Some stay at the ganja, but a lot of youth will consider the next level of dope. I was a Dutch raver at 14, I chose to try the xtc and such. I don't blaim the ganja...it was a sober decision. I found it interesting. Made the houseparties in the 90s fantastic. Did a lot of 'm, but liquer is the hardest dope there is and will make you do the craziest shit as a teenager.

If I could go back and make a Different choice I would have waited until after the Age of 25 which is when our Brain becomes "stable".

I feel like in middle school and high school it's much easier to get away with being high. Kids in high school might get drunk on weekends but when I was in high school there was a lot of people that were high every day in class when I saw them. Weed is better for you than alcohol no doubt (even though I can't smoke it anymore now due to my anxiety and panic disorder) but when you're a kid going through puberty, and you're getting high everyday, it does have an effect on your brain. If you're a grown adult, you're good. But if you're below the age of 25 (doctors generally say mid 20s is when the brain stops developing) then smoking weed everyday isn't going to be great on your brains development.

When listening to this song, you have to understand that Hopsin is a very strict straight edge. He doesn't smoke cigarettes, he doesn't smoke weed, he doesn't take drugs and he doesn't drink. He's very against it all. So when he talks about drugs or drinking, he's against it.

Weed smoking for adolescents (adolescent brain) can definitely cause permanent damage. It can also cause permanent damages to a adults brain. I smoke before bed, and I am pro weed but I am also aware of what damages it can cause me and others. It does indeed rot your brain.

i use weed daily as an alternative to ritalin and i think kids shouldn't start doing weed until they're at least 23. if it were up to me i'd legalize it and put the legal age at 25 because the brain develops until about that age.

Hey man, first time watching a different video than the podcast and I liked it. Always nice to have different people's perspectives on heavy subject like that and your knowledge of the hiphop world adds a deeper layer to these reactions! The right wing tangent got me by surprise that was both true and hilarious. I remember someone on the 40 YOFB podcast mentioning Napoleon Hill and think it would be interesting to see your reaction on Harry Mack's song on the subject, no elaboration for spoiler purposes. I also cant wait for the reaction arc where you get through lil dicky freestyles and more obscure videos but thats for another day

There’s nothing wrong with having a happy and healthy sex life. If you’re doing it with the right people that respect you and you’re doing it for the right reasons for yourself not because you have low self-esteem. If you’re doing it safely using at least two forms of birth control Being monogamous with that person helps. Ensuring ahead of time that they’re the type of person that’s not going to brag to the friends and give details about your intimacy. Then there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy sex with multiple people it’s fun and it’s great if it’s done in a Safeway because you want to do it. I’ve never had sex, while higher or drunk that might impair my judgment , and I want to be present in the moment. I have no regrets.

It depends, if you are predisposed for some mental illsnes it suckes if you start early And I know, cus my best friend had his brain fried, normal ppl on lsd just have a trip, he threw himself off of the balcony on the 2nd story 2 times, He survived both times, but he's in a mental hospital now, cus he continued to use ***drugs. I started using the same sht, but I took breaks, and I just used weed + I used a therapist, so sht like this wouldn't happen to me. W/E LOVE U PEGAUS

Im not gonna lie, I never feel bad about my lyrics because it’s not my job to make sure kids outside of mine are going down the right path. I look at my songs like an Author, Screen writer, or director. Every kid who reads thrillers, watch thrillers or true crime doesnt become a serial killer. I write what i write because i know how i feel and what im going thru and someone out there can relate. It’s not an invitation to do what i do. You can be the perfect parent, be understanding, civil, show the right path but it’s always up to the kid to take that advice. People are individuals and no matter what you do you cant control who they are and how they think🤷🏾‍♂️ age old phrase, “you can lead a horse to water but you cant make em drink”….

It's strange how you say easy over & over again when Easy E was the first to sign Hopsin. After Easy E passed his wife took control & refused to release Hopsins music. He wrote a song that mentions that.. I'm in my 40's from Australia & strange how I have to educate a U.S American about your own music. Tech N9ne also signed Hopsin.

  • @tylerwilcox9922

Your entire comment was discredited by the last comment you made. Hopsin was never signed to strange music and that is a fact. Hopsin created funk volume shortly after he left ruthless records. And since then he has been independent. I have been a huge fan of tech since 06 and I have been listening to Hopsin ever since he was featured on Am I A Psycho. You didn’t educate anyone on anything. Next time you come off as cocky and arrogant make sure you have your facts straight.

Not true. I'm left wing and believe in social justice. But I still agree with what Hopsin says in this song. But you can have high morals and still end up in bad situations. Remember, not everyone has good role models, and some people are abused as children. Not everyone can be held to this type of extreme accountability.
