There’s definitely ways to get around it but I’m fine with how they are, the holes in the plastic get cut and then the string sticks so the first thing I always do is add some metal grommets to them, the next thing you can do is use some really heavy braided line like 100 pound test, last is to get those metal things with a set screw on them to replace the plastic gears since they won’t strip, and also double up on the braided line.

The stings break after a little while, try doubling up on the string, also mess with the slack in the string to get it to stop sticking up
Can this set fit any model car ??
@lowlowsandclothes9923
3 жыл бұрын
It will fit without any modifications under most cars especially impalas Cadillac’s and g body’s and way more, but it can also be cut and trimmed to fit most cars
To get a body for it, I gotta buy a 1/25 scale model kit correct?

Yes but the process is a little different
I used to have these. I ended up throwing them out. Couldn't stand the string snapping constantly and even fishing line snapped with low voltage

I usually just double the string up and it’ll last for a little over a minute, although that can get annoying I guess it’s part of the fun, just like the real thing

@@lowlowsandclothes9923 Yeah I hear ya. It just seems like too much of a pain in the ass. The damn gears get stripped out the more you pull them apart too.

On a bad note I absolutely messed up my kit. The 9V batteries I had couldn’t get the motor to hop properly so I hooked my dads rc car battery and it fried the motors now I’m one kit down. I’m going to get another one and wire it properly as the last one I did I got wired it. Probably gonna invest in one of the battery packs they sell.
