Interesting some sites like game have it on pre-order due 2024 but not when, maybe this is optimistic.

HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY

Finished the 20th Anniversary Edition 100% and I can confirm the bonus content (the chests, Maps to the Past, Skeleton Key, etc.) all link to characters in the 2-3 BGE2 trailers you've watched, as well as Jade's past as a kid in the pirate family. You can easily find those videos on youtube :P

Website info says some of the bonus contents will expand on the link between Jade's past and Beyond good & evil 2 - Further suggesting it's still alive and well!

Yes, I saw that - was very surprised but glad to see!

It seems to me like the sequel takes place in the past with the main character being Jades mother as a space pirate. In the meantime, I'm glad at least this nice remaster came out. With verification on twitter that it is still in development from the official page in a thread.

Yep, would bet money it’s her mother. One of the livestreams showed a timeline of events and the final picture was of a woman with one arm carrying a baby. In the trailer the same woman has a bionic arm. I’m guessing she’s kidnapped by the domz at some point.

@@TheGamingPsychologist Oh cool I didn't notice that one. I think it's a safe bet. Playing through this game again really seems to be supporting this theory. She gets mentioned more than I remembered. Plus some new content I stumbled across in the 20th anniversary.

@@TheGamingPsychologist haven't gotten past the slaughter house yet but I'm looking forward to play more this evening. Played the OG version for the first time last year and have been a big fan ever since.

Interesting some sites like GAME have it on pre-order due 2024 but not when, maybe this is optimistic.

Maybe, but then they did just release the anniversary edition within five days of the trailer and without showing it at Forward so… who knows?

I really doubt it won't be a good game, it's modern Ubisoft after all, the development has been restarted at least once since the 2017 annoucement, even the 2017 version didn't looked anything like BGE 1 in my opinion.

You missed the most glaringly obvious bit of "hope" that came with the 20th Anniversary Version. New cutscenes with voice actors and characters from the Beyond Good and Evil 2 trailers! If that isn't hope, I don't know what is haha

@Julia-ow4st There's a new sidequest that has you going to different locations and get Mdisks recorded by Jade's Mother. It has a really great ending I don't want to spoil.

If you think that nowadays Ubisoft is capable of producing anything that isnt mediocre identity politics driven slop, then I have to disappoint you. This game is made by the OLD ubisoft. It doesnt exist anymore
