They fold flat the recipient unfolds to make it 3d.

i just glued with dimensionals one side of the strawberry and left it flat to put in envelope. I add dimensionals to the flat side and they can take the paper off the dimensionals. .

I love the kits but not a fan of the glue dots! Too hard to use.

Thank you for your feedback! We will pass this along to our product development team. As other crafters mentioned the Take Your Pick tool or Snips are a great tool to help with glue dots!
