Hook up that off-road recovery winch ground!

Recovery winches need a dedicated ground to frame and then to the battery. Meaning, make sure the winch ground has a direct path to the negative side of the battery. You don't have to put the winch ground cable on the actual negative battery post. Just make sure it has direct contact to the negative cable coming from the battery. I used welding lead cable from Tractor Supply and purchased the lugs there as well. Below I'll add links to MUCH LESS expensive options. Check out the video, you will see what I mean.

If the negative side of the winch runs to your battery that is still ok. I just don't do it because it keeps the clutter down at the battery.
I bought a 1990 jeep wrangler yj. And I have a question. Someone had put a 6inch lift on 35in tires on it and it looks like the person never didn't adjust rear-end or trans. They did not change the gearing or nothing. Does this cause problems with either one of them with this kind of lift amd tires.

That much lift and not adjusting the driveshaft angles can cause vibrations and quick failure of the ujoints. That can be corrected by getting a slip yoke eliminator kit for the tcase and a double-cardan drive shaft with slip splines in the shaft.
