Hoof Technology Review - Is this the Hoof Revolution

Ойын-сауық

Hey Guys
My name is Alex Ridgeway, I am a Farrier in Newmarket, England. I created this channel to share some of my experiences working with horses. I aim to create entertaining videos as part of my farrier vlog, but I will let you be the judge of that!
I am also producing educational videos about horse's Anatomy, How to’s, and I hope to produce videos all about different pathologies and how to better care for your horse. We have also opened a fully functioning Farriers Forge just outside of Newmarket, England. The plan is to encourage certain horses to the Forge, this will allow us to custom make and create specific shoeing plan to best suit these horses and to maximise their true potential.
Please check out some of my other videos. I hope you enjoy the videos and they can bring you some value.
I would really appreciate you're feedback and if you can offer support by subscribing even better ( it’s completely free!!!) Thank you!!👍
Don't forget to LIKE and SHARE these videos with your friends!
Thank you for watching!

Basically it seems that more air is needed and the horse found a good rock to open a crack in all four fixings. Tell the owner that unfortunately this a new technology and the horse is super shoe and will be alright like that for about a month and a half if not more. But you can't just change them weekly. Once fixed keep observing the developement of each jobs and keep monitoring like you are perfectly doing here. Nice vídeo 📹

I love animals but I’m terrified of horses because of how huge they are 🙂 the closest I’ve been to a horse was feeding a carrot to my neighbor’s horse behind a fence- but I’m obsessed with these videos 🥰

I used to be afraid of them but once you learn how they communicate they are less scary because you have a better idea of what they are thinking.

Even adult cows will do that but both have big teeth so use caution and engoy them. Grew up w both bit once on the shoulder my fault of course and stepped on my fault.

Once you ride a horse you automatically loose a ton of fear. It is good to fear them in a healthy way. Watch vídeos of them fighting and then you get to understand why you inteligentes fear them for. Learn who they are to eachother and try to communicated like they do. Another good tip with horses is that they can read your mind, body language, eyes, soul, but it is your Spirit inside? Don't know if good or bad, but JC can change that. Leaving you with your heart, who you really are. Horses are just like human being they have the same humor and BAD humor and everything else, they cry, they are scared of ALL human being including you just like you are of them, só try to flirt with them more, turn your back on them, ignore them, hide things from them and tees them a lot, and then learn to whisper them. But If I was you just get up on it and ride one for a short stroll it will change you forever. You will connect with them and read their minds by the body language in time. Looking after them like in this video? They fall in love with your every care, they feel 10 times better than a wild horse already. You free them but they never leave, they want a stable now and there you lr Journey goes into the world of the most noble of animals, the most spirited man's best friend.

He can't do that, because this a scam product / service, that does more harm then good. It looks nice for the gram, but does jack shit.

soft dental impression material is what's causing the split along the frog

Wearing the toe back is a good thing with the TB. Instability /weakness of the material at the posterior frog and heel bulbs would be a bigger concern for me. allowing moisture and concurrent issues. I looks like they stayed on which is a good thing

Interesting to see a shoe to be nailed on after the application of the material. One big question is how do you remove the shoe and does that potentially compromise the hoof wall.

You know you could probably put powder pigments on the silicone instead of glitter and you would get a more opaque color and might not see as much of the mesh color.

Check Formahoof out they have a KZread channel and great website. It's a very interesting process and when applied correctly works remarkably well bringing horses back into exercise and improving soundness

First I'd like to thank you for taking the time and effort to put this channel together. It's informative, interesting, and very well thought out. I hit your channel because I, too, have an OTTB who has the same type of problem described in this and the previous video. So I'm wondering if you know any farriers in the UAE who might be using FormaHoof?

Quite interesting, but perimeter fitting of the shoe has left you with a delayed break over and a long toe. Been looking at formahoof for a while and the extra material at the toe was something that I was curious about, that heavy wear at the toe tells me it's too much. I really appreciate being able to see a 2 week folow-up.

any tricks to working with the dental impression material in the frog or any other type of cushion? we have just started this with a laminitic gelding and the straight epoxy into the frog is keeping him lame

You guys need a air powered calking gun you should be able to inject the whole hoof from one hole in the bottom. They are pricey but worth every penny , i do a lot of injecting epoxy and acrylic . I cant post a link so go to MSCdirect and look for part number 00611947 .

I bet that horse loved those new shoes and suddenly everything seemed to be so fine? Certainly did like a tip on it's one-toe-feet. very nice, wear and tear there where you can see where the áreas are put to more use by the horse. Compare this hard hectic working horse to one that is inactive to see how much it would last on a wear and tear done solely by the animal itself enjoying nice new shoes.

In my experience of using the resin on the hooves like that, the hooves producer own moisture how does that stuff not rot the hooves when it being on for too long, every time I use that stuff and covered the hoof like that when I come back in 6 weeks there's definitely some rot going on

Just got first application of formahoof July 9. I put glitter in the mold but we didnt get nearly as nice a color consistency as you do. I think i was scared to put too much glitter and it not adhere well. Do you just load up the mold? :) Of course soundness and helping my horse over glitter, but if we can have a bit of fun along the way Id like to sparkle!

Are these Formahoofs only capable of being used for medical use or can they be used for trail rides and competitions too? Also are these available in the USA

The toe seems to be quite long with the sho now on. Since the horse was starting to wear his own tow back why did you not st the shoe back a bit further, rocket the toe or use an EDSS shoe or something similar?

These hooves definitely AND ONLY need proper shoeing you can clearly see they are too long in a toe, anyway no need to scream and shout about this formachof- too expensive for majority, modern product laughed out by real profesionals and higly recomended by sales representatives, well 21ceuntry
