How to build a horses leg!

Hey Guys
My name is Alex Ridgeway, I am a Farrier from Newmarket, England. I created this channel to share some of my experiences working with horses. I aim to create entertaining videos as part of my farrier vlog, but I will let you be the judge of that!
I am also producing educational videos about horse's Anatomy, How to’s, and I hope to produce videos all about different pathologies and how to better care for your horse. Please check out some of my other videos. I hope you enjoy the videos and they can bring you some value.
I would really appreciate you're feedback and if you can offer support by subscribing even better ( it’s completely free!!!) Thank you!!👍
Don't forget to share these videos with your friends!
Thank you for watching!

Great way to teach I would love to have one of those myself for my own education. I think it would be helpful if you use different colored rubber bands for the different tendons and ligaments. Which would help identify which ones you're talking about

I am so glad that I found your channel as you are helping to learn a lot more about the horses leg. I did wonder if you used springs instead of elastic band would that work better but I am only guessing? I wish you was around when I had my horse's I think that you could have helped him alot. But if I ever get another chance to own a horse I would definitely like it if you could be my farrier. I can't tell you how much I have learned from your video's so thankyou and I can't wait to see more video's. Take care all the best from me kelli xxx.

Check out Doug Butlers old video from the past, where he uses pieces of leather and elastic to build a complete equine leg! Nice job!

Really good. I like it. The only thing that I would suggest is to add a straight sesamoidean ligament to keep the sesamoids in contact with the proximal phalanx. On your model they are in wrong place when the leg comes under load

ezeehitch Thank you! Yes I did try to add the straight sesamoidean ligament to the proximal extremity of P2 where it would of attached to the complimentary fibrocartilage. Unfortunately it caused the pastern joint to knuckle forward. I thought it was possibly due to the CDET not attaching to the bone on the dorsal aspect. Working progress for sure 😉 . Thanks for your comments though, glad you liked it 👌 alex

Better yet. You send me a entire dead horse and I’ll build this for you with my flesh eating bugs. I’ll even make you a video detailing the process

How can you apply that to human running shoes. Off course it cannot be applied it out feet. If it works in our shoes it would be better than the pogo sticks and othet contraptions invented today. Or the APL shoes banned in NBA.
