Looks great. I'm planning on doing the same again this year. It's such a shame the Warsash now has a max parking limit of 4 hours in the carpark making it almost useless as a launch site now...

Love it! Great weather and sea state for it. How long did it take you guys? I tried in my rib in August but the seas on the south of the island where whipped up and I had white caps and 3m waves so quickly decided to turn back after getting to Ventnor for the sake of my crew lol! I was coming clockwise from Bembridge. Can't wait for warmer climates to try again. Just followed in Insta BTW.

Took about 6 hours. Perfect conditions was able to go at full speed 99% of the time, but sightseeing slowed it down!

Nice video! Can I ask how you attached the aux engine? I have a 3.6 Zodiac and never even considered one because of the size of the boat/transom - but you are making it look like it's possible which gives me some hope. I see you are also using a transom wheel, I have no idea how there's still room for that little engine up there, but seems like you're making it work. I'd love to see a video of you attaching it and using it a little, simulating an engine problem on the main one.

I had 3 x 12 litre tanks and a couple of emergency jerry cans. The first tank was almost empty at St Catherine's lighthouse, the southern most tip of the island, around halfway mark 35 miles in.

With a slightly smaller dinghy with a similar size Honda engine… I achieved top speed of 22knts and cruising speed of around 16-18knts. That auxiliary engine has to add mass and drag so I doubt he could go more than 17-19knts

@@Cluelessseafishing you will get more flex with the air deck, but still ok. You can minimise this by topping up to the correct pressure once its in the cold water.
