Screens have several layers. This is the top glass removal / replacement without replacing the whole screen unit / display. That's a thin string he's using to separate the glass from the display. It's not specific to curved screens alone but any screen you want to separate the glass from. It's a difficult process, that's why when you go to a shop with your glass broken, even if the display still works, they just change the whole display unit instead of just the top glass.

Your phone screen is a sandwich of these three parts with an optically clear adhesive to hold them together. Normally you would warm the screen so the glue becomes soft then you can use some VERY FINE spudgers and some wire that are thinner than the glue layer so you can separate the glass off. For ref, a replacement screen assembly can be £100's, fitted its even more, but the glass itself can be had for £10's

Ich betone warum: während dem man Display schneidet mit dem Glasschneide Gerät, besteht die Gefahr dass man innere Displayfolie beschädigt und man dann alles wechseln muss, viel Zeit weg, Zusatzkosten und wieder die Zeit für die Reparatur, daher wenn ihr bei solchen Sachen nichts versteht, besser ihr lässt die Finger davon 😀

You just understand a less advanced way of doing it. The blade clearly has a guide that won't allow it to cut deeper than the glass. There is no way to damage the screen. The way you do it now has more risk than in the video.

Veo que nadie lo ha comentado y entiendo que lo que está haciendo en el video no es un cambio de pantalla, si no de cristal. Mientras que el lcd esté en perfectas condiciones y si tienes el equipo y las habilidades para hacerlo, es más económico que cambiar la pantalla entera, el problema es encontrar a alguien que lo haga, ya que es una operación delicada y normalmente no hay mucha gente que de este servicio. Lo único que le quedaría por hacer sería retirar la capa de pegamento con alcohol isopropilico y volver a aplicar una nueva antes de poner el cristal.
