    It's crazy how these guys would wrestle 3 times in one night, 30+ nights in a row. Now these guys in wwe work 10 minute matches and work 5 days and are off for 2 and complain about how gruelling the schedule is.

  • @bigrigjoe5130

    @bigrigjoe5130

    4 жыл бұрын

    Kinda half truth These guys traveled a lot (and they exaggerate) but within the same territory. Also the matches had a small fraction of the bumps (sometimes no bumps) than the current guys do and on softer rings. WWE today has hard rings with thick wood under the mat because Vince likes it to look good. They travel all over the nation and world and do as many bumps in one night as HTM Did in 2 months. Chances are HTM spent 24 of those 30 days sleeping in his own bed at home every night. Eddie Guerrero didn't get to do that and died in his hotel room from a heart attack. There's a lot of things to hate about modern WWE but don't blame the wrestlers for being lazy, they work crazy hard and take way more of a beating than the old timers did because there are no true "marks" anymore. You can't make a crowd of 8,000 go wild with a hair pull and a leg drop like you could in the 70s and early 80s

    A famous angle from Memphis in 1979. HTM and Larry Latham AKA Moondog Spot were working as the Blonde Bombers and the started a crazy ass brawl in the concession stands. Other wrestlers and fans got involved and it was quite a scene. This was 1979 and angles in general were rare at the time. It was very innovative for the time. Everybody who was in the arena and watching on TV thought it was real that night.
