Today i learned what mixing actually means lol and how these little variations really impacted why i feel so differently towards each version aside from the languages and the singer’s vocals, pretty neat 👍

@@MinhucVoPham Mixing is how you put all sounds together, balancing the levels of each sound, how each sound is manipulated so it fits with the others or making a sound softer or louder. In this post I was observing how each singer from different languages'voices were mixed into the song. Some used a little auto-tune style(EN, JP) in their mixing and others(especially CN) used more raw and melody prominent mixing. The KR one tried to make the singer's voice shine more (kinda like CN but more focus on the voice rather than the hype-ness). Producer direction and translating of the lyrics played a big part in the mixing too with the multiple differences in the amount of vocals and how each line was sung. Blending uses different vocal sounds(difference in tune, tone, accents, etc) merging or mixing it together to create one sound. The blending I was referring to in my observations is when harmonies are being used in vocals, like saying the same words but sung in different tunes and then put together. Layering is stacking similar/different sounds ontop of each other to make a more sound and complete sound. The CN part I said that used layering, the producer took the same/similar sample of the voice(same tune and same words) copy pasted it and stack it on top of the other similar/same samples to make it sound louder and like multiple people singing together instead of one

EN and CN version are my fav, En version sounds very modern and pop in its mixing, while cn version is out of my expectation, the sliding is smooth and pleasing and the singger's voice is a fire.

I don’t think this was a great example since the song was originally made in chinese, it’s no surprise it sounds amazing. Other languages have to change the lyrics a bit to match the beat plus make it sound natural & catchy. Generally tho i do agree chinese lyrical writing is often better than english.
