Sorry I didn't talk much about the lyrics! I was so mesmerized by everything happening that I didn't think too deeply about them, but upon watching it again, I'm VERY curious how Firefly fits into all this. The part where the lyrics say "I thought that dream could light the way" with a very happy Firefly and Caelus, followed by "Oh, be my savior and take me away" as Caelus watches Firefly falling, is quite interesting. It feels like a pretty big shift in terms of what's happening on screen. I'm also quite curious about the rest of our crew. We see Himeko, March 7th, Welt, and Dan Heng (I hadn't noticed Dan Heng at first, but he's there at 1:13), but it almost feels like they're far away. Is Caelus trying to save them all? What do you guys think?

Here's what I think is gonna happen. 1. Starting from 6:39 if you look closely we see Firefly fading away as the camera pans away from the Trailblazer. They keep using the word "dreams" in all their 2.0 trailers, so either Firefly isn't real or she's gonna die and our MC will be dealing with a "loss" of someone special. 2. In my other comment, I pointed out Acheron was crying at the end while Sam fades into the shadow which leads me to think they were perhaps comrades/best friends at one point. Maybe I'm thinking too much but who knows? 3. I've never played Honkai Impact 3rd but I do know Himeko dies in that universe, but I don't think we're gonna lose her or she's gonna die. It'd be a little repetitive imo if you have a important character die twice. So I'm thinking we might lose Firefly. Remember losing someone doesn't mean a person is dead. 4. I don't know how many of you noticed but at 0:47 Aventurine had a slightly different outfit on with a mask, perhaps he could transform like how Childe does in Genshin? Potential villain?

Firefly seems to be a dream construct. the way she turn to white dust is the same as in the new IRL musical trailer, when the dream pearl dissapear it turn to dust leaving white sparkle as well

I really like how honkai star rail switches between female and male mc because they are the same character just different genders

The whole Nameless squad is in this trailer. Dan Heng was before the Himeko scene but he's so small most people just missed it. Welt just below giant March doing his shining glass pose

6:21 I feel like this is the first instance of the trailblazer harnessing the Stellaron conciously for the first time. When we saw cocolia use the stellaron for the first time, she transformed into her fragmentum form. This could be the same instance of transformation, since penacony is a dream world, it would make sense that the trailblazer would have some form of control in there. Now of course its not a fragmentum type transformation because the we all know what monsters affected by the fragmentum look like, but that light is unmistakably similar to the stellarons. Now it begs the question of will it be the path of harmony the trailblazer is rumored to have since they'll need to draw the gaze of Xipe in order to do so, but those are just my two pieces. I'd be happy to discuss it in the replies. 😊

Can’t wait for Sparkle - really like her fight animations The lead person for the story writing in Penacony did also the (in)famous chapter 9 in Hi3 and other big story parts - so the single shot of Himeko makes a lot of people concerned ^^ Sam is going to be the end boss of this patch. The whole story will be continuing til 2.3 so 4 whole patches of main story

Just wanna add that as Acheron was crying and Sam was fading into shadow at the end makes me think that they had history of some sort. Maybe it's just her natural facial expression when fighting Sam, but she kinda looked a little sad to me.

I love Gallagher's design so much, I don't think Hoyo has made a playable male character with facial hair before. I'm so excited to see where the story goes with Penacony, everything about it that they've shown just has this unsettling feeling that I kinda love.

First off, that song was a superb banger and wasn't expecting such a good song. Second I've never been so hyped for a game patch for any games and I've been playing games for 30 + years. My biggest worry is that they hyped it so much that our expectations will be too high and we risk feeling let down somehow.

I can't wait for the much hyped version 2.0 for black swan

So torn. I accidentally pulled Ruan Mei, so I had made the impossibly hard to decision to go for Black Swan over Sparkle since I figured I don't need another busted Harmony character. But I knew for sure Sparkle was gonna be one of my absolute favorite characters, and everything they showed of her just reaffirmed that, AND her kit is so insanely giga-busted that I think I gotta just go for her. But I want Black Swan a lot too. Oh the troubles of being f2p. The one positive at least is I'm not TOO crazy for 2.1 characters (yet), so I can recover in time for Firefly (assuming she's even 5 star, no one spoil this please).

Not a lore thing, but there's a funny little animation oversight in the trailer; if you look at the black and white impact frame after 6:25 it show's Stelle's figure instead of Caelus's.

@@SnowJester 'Oversight' isn't the right word choice, and yeah it's nice that they're using both MCs instead of playing favorites - but it's probably not that deep. What I imagine really happened was they reused the impact frames from the Tatalov animation, which featured Stelle.

As a waifu over meta character, I'm going to be absolutely broke. The confirmed order for characters is Black Swan and Sparkle. Acheron is going to be coming in 2.1. R.I.P Wallets. Trailblazer looking at Firefly in such a lovestruck manner is something I didn't expect we'd see from the story, but I'm all for it! She's adorable! And Acheron is crying at the end of the video, in case you didn't catch that one little detail. Incredibly hyped for 2.0!
