The most beautiful short there is out there. Great story, character development and a legendary twist. He wanted to rid of the sturggles of hunger so bad, he beelined into his objective. Adapting, transforming EVOLVING into what he needed to become in order to survive - nay, LIVE. He overcomes his adversaries trough sheer willpower and determination to HONK. Yet when met with accomplishment, did he let his ego take over? NO. He took what he needed, smoked one out and flew into the horizon. Like the magestic honk he is. Tears are rolling down.

I remember watching this around 2013-2015. I don't actually remember when, but the memory lingers.

I like how it takes all the food (and girl) but just pulls out one cigarette and lights it, seems a bit opposite of what you'd expect in reality. Then again, the chasm between reality and Felix Colgrave is... immense.

That's only partly true. It's so good because he knows the fundamentals of animation, how to tween and morph and is a good animator. It takes a month to do a minute of work because that's typical, not the reason why it's good.

It's quite simple really. Its a common phrase that one must learn to chew their food. This creature variously swallows things whole without a moments hesitation, thus the phrases is applied to tartly quip this barbaric behavior in a passive mild tone, creating a sense of frankness and dismissive to that which should be viewed as severe. Swallowing a child whole implies a severe reaction, however the minor reaction of "simply learning to chew his food" is humorous because of its dismissiveness. Thus is the joke.
