I absolutely love that Hongbin decided to cover a song like this, and not a modern American pop song. Billy Joel is such an amazing artist, and the fact that Hongbin chose to broaden his horizons in terms of musical artists really makes me happy. I wish this would happen more often. 💕

@@hifriends7299 I understand your sadness and I too can't accept the reality of him not being with VIXX anymore...at the same time I am relieved to see him smile again and honestly just hearing his voice after so long makes me happy. If right now streaming and gaming makes him happy then I support him with all my heart. But at the same time I do hope he will continuing singing someday because I really love his voice. ( and a small part of me still kinda wants to believe that once Hakyeon is back from military he could somehow bring back Hongbin...yeah I know it is just wishful thinking but this daydream makes the sad reality more bearable 😭)

As a very old starlight, and a huge Billy Joel fan for years, I have to say this is brilliant. Hongbin did a fantastic job of covering this song, which is a fav of mine. I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled, to be honest. Trying to keep one member as a bias in Vixx is so damn hard when they all keep shining so brightly.

When did Hongbin's English get so good? I'm so shook by that A+ pronunciation (not to mention how good he sounds, bless his vocal cords)

I was barely notified of this video today and wow I can't believe the dispute over it being private before. If Starlights PAID money for this Exhibition, they have a right to exclusive things such as this song. It's not about, "oh i didn't have the money and Jelpi is stingy for not including International fans" but fans who did go to the exhibition had access to listen to this song first. I don't mind. As an international Starlight why would I be upset? Stop arguing and just enjoy Hongbin's hard work. Please.

Isn't it illegal for them to make profit off of a cover unless they own rights to the song? If it were their own copyright you'd be right but covers-for-profit like you're saying it is is an entire different legal area.

$1k round trip (plus a few hundred for everything else) for a showcase without vixx even there?? u think that's reasonable to do?? it really isn't. i've paid for an official membership twice (byulset and byulnet) -- the first time, i never received the goods and interpark straight up started ignoring my e-mails. for byulnet, i received the goods but was never upgraded on the fancafe(after following all the directions), and their english support is so limited that it doesn't feel worth it to pursue. don't condescend to me like i'm not willing to spend money for content, because i have spent more money than is reasonable on vixx already. literally all i ask is that jellyfish make it possible for the average intl fan to access this shit without "breaking the rules"

Y'all have no idea how happy it makes me to see Hongbin making his own covers, trying different styles of music, experimenting with his vocal skills and he does it all to surprise STARLIGHTs and to improve himself. I have loved Hongbin's voice since the very beginning but I've always felt like he's so underappreciated, even by Jelpi itself. He always got like a line or two in VIXX songs but now he makes his own covers, letting his voice shine and I'm just so incredibly proud of him. I really hope he believes in his voice, that he's confident about it and I truly hope he knows how much he means to STARLIGHTs I love Hongbin with all my heart and I started crying while writing this comment omg

The video was originally uploaded for the exhibition (it was unlisted, people got the QR code for the video off the exhibit). They made the video public today.

Basically, Starlights paid to go to the exhibition that they have for their anniversary [I believe it's for their anniversary] . In there, there were special QR codes to scan and take you to songs or messages. This was one. But some fans were leaking the link or so. At the end, some were mad that Rovix kept the video private. When it actually makes sense, since the Starlights paid money to go the exhibition and get first listen . Hope that makes sense. If you have questions I can help ^-^
