Hong Kong to Shenzhen China Visa on arrival
If you have a debit card then it should be easy but I lost mine at Hong Kong Airport, I forgot to take it out of the ATM after being used to South Korean ATM's that give you your card first then the cash.
The Costs for Visa on arrival into Shenzhen is around 834 CNY if you are from the UK or 1234 CNY if you are from the USA

Thanks very much, Even when I got to the border for 12pm they said they'd stopped issuing visa at about 11am but they did trickle some more during the day but had to wait about another hour. Going back to hk is easy dunno what time though
From hongkong to shenzhen need visa china from indonesia or only visa on arrival in shenzhen ?

Some European countries have longer visa on arrival now. By the way, I heard there is a new Octopus Card which people can use both in Hong Kong and Shen Zhen now. But don’t know how to apply or buy it.

You'll need a third country to go in such case. However as exceptions, HK/Macao/Taiwan also count, as long as not a round trip.

"Third country" is actually talking about international flights; In other words means enter or leaving China. So by definition, HK/MO/TWN is not an exception as the first 2 are territories outside of China that are under Chinese rule and Taiwan is a country that China claims sovereignty but is not actually controlled.
